all i have been told is the outage is down a lot of people using older firmware but nobody seems to know why some areas where working fine and others where off but it seems if it sorted could have been a provider issue in certain areas who knows

    Hi E45

Just after your opinion. I have a few people pestering me for the kryptview boxes at present. I have 1 myself and see it is pretty much all good although with your inside knowledge would you honestly recomend i pass the boxes on or leave alone for a while and see what else comes out?

    Cheers

To be honest m8 there wont be anything else out and yes i would recommend these boxes as the support is there as you can see unlike when the starview goes down nobody knows anything about why its gone down when it will be back or is anyone even interested in giving any sort of a reason or even speaking about them but at the end of the day the choice is yours

    Thanks for the info E45

So long as they go for 12 months nobody can complain anyway its just i dont want to be passing them on at cost and getting a round of 5`s if they are all f*cked within 3 months

well then dont get em then, no one can give you an exact date of when they wont work or when they will, same as the older cable boxs, ya took a chance on them, but I suggest you read the thread I created explaining what has or will go wrong with boxs and then make your mind up, as if there is future trouble with servers or peoples routers or their cable service, your the one they are going to be ringing, so you need to make that clear to them,

giving a heads up, just rescanned after turning on box and a few channels missing. Got most back, however no Sky sports 1, 3 or 4. Sky 2 is running as is Sky sports news, racing uk and at the races.
other premium channels appear to be working but not checked, I was only thinking about the football.

Yes I did, but it is all correct now.
I will not post unless I have followed past advice in other posts as I do not want to abuse the help given, but with the football tonight I thought I would post to see if anything untoward had happened and not been reported.

no worries tony, its just that with the new type box, it can be a host of things that interrupts your viewing, from your cable company doing work, your internet signal having issues, router problem, lan cable issue or homeplugs not connected and finally to a server dropping, so ya see a lot more in the mix than before.

Down in Teesside also, looking like maybe a server issue.
