Sorry If I upset you Mickah, I wasn't having a go at you. I know the long hours you put in on
the forum helping people. I just think KVU should post an explanation themselves and what
action they can take to prevent these problems in the future. KVU have a good track record &
they should try to preserve it. Thank you for your concerns about my health, and thanks for
    being me buddy.

when have ya ever seen any of em, SV, Krypt or any box maker come to a forum and advise whats happen, none do, ever, as that would implicate them in anything the box was not-designed to do, if you get my meaning, but word always comes quick when a issue is being had by a certain brand, SV not being one of em, ya be lucky to hear a bloody word on anything, let alone whats wrong

So stay safe buddy, be careful out there ; -)

Point taken Mickah. I'm not saying they have to put their name to it, just e-mail moderators
on forums with plausible explanations. When a person in Eire did cable boxes he only had to
ring UK supplier to be advised on problems & when fix would be available.
Any boxes which are having issues should be hi-lighted. If it's a one off problem, that's
fine. If problems are regular issues, people should know before they buy

Starview and Kryptview boxes both use "Free" servers, I would not expect any status reports on either. Some people do report Kryptview issues, I don't know if they are official reports or just made up rumours that get repeated, they have proved to be wrong at times.

Neither server is 100%, nor is any of this type of server. It's been well publicized that you will not get 100% service, even if you subscribe! The servers both work very similarly and are both very good for free servers - if you want a better service then subscribe.

Fair point,Lincsat, but I would expect someone to advise me when to expect my service to be
restored. I'm sure there are plenty of DM500-c owners who would gladly subscribe to server if
    service was advertised.

I agree with Lincsat on the above and I mentioned it on the other post on here advising folk that this is now part and parcel of the service, either Krypts, SV etc, We have debated the merits of each boxs and I have geven my opinion on which I think is the best based on uptime etc etc

But given the nature of the beast, you aint gonna get customer service bundled in with the cost of the box, like a mail or similar, I get the info from one or two sources, but thats about it, never from a direct source and certainly not from the server owners or maintainers, such is the way

    Thirdly,
who in their right mind would advertise a cable share for fear of it going down, anyone that has one is better keeping it to themselves and few family or friends, that way they will continue to benefit, as loose lips, sink ships......

Do you mean all channs. are working except freeview, or all channs. scrambled except freeview.
Try turning off router & box, then turn on router, then turn on box.

There is some talk about more maintenance over the next few days but timed to be overnight to not affect many people. So either the information is wrong, inaccurate or this is not the maintenance that is due.

Best to leave box alone, missing channs. will come back. If it goes on too long reboot box &
router. Failing that do factory default & scan using correct Net-ID for your area
