Not getting very far with this, when I try to start the bin file running I get a pop up box STB Editor - The downloading is not requested

    Can anyone help me please?

Edit - That ^^ was due to not having a driver for the USB serial adapter!!

Went through all the process but when I get to the the last part of the tutorial (Add Tp List) under list of network id it starts at 1 and goes all the way to 10 and tells me Already exists - I don't get to choose an option from the big list of net ids - it then scans for channels but doesn't find any.

    Any pointers?

Edit again - sorted, it was a loose connection

yeh 90% of the time it can be a cable not in or loose connection
lucky it did not take you a few days to notice like it did for 1 or 2 others when it happened
anyway good to hear you got it sorted :)

hi guys, this may have been covered but with so many posts and pages i kinda get lost,i have been using starview 4 for ages with no problems but my neighbour has just let me know his card has arrived so i know its only a matter of weeks,i want to get the krypt 780, i have already the modem cable and usb adapter from back in the early starview days,
my issue is that my pc(using vista 64 bit)would not let the cable work as the drivers need to be digitally signed and i tried everything to make it work and that why i upgraded to a sv4,can you tell me if i will have the same problem of if there is a solution to this b4 i buy the krypt780,
    thanks in advance.

yes you will have the same problem updating any box if your pc is not configured properly

i suggest you borrow a friends xp machine and or go to their house and update the box takes no more than 10 mins to do
