Not one little bit.. It's ink and has no weight to speak of..... No more than writeing on it with a sharpie..
ok so just want to get it right i am buying printable dvd's i am using 1 click or dvd decrypter and shrink and i am booktyping to dvd-rom that should give me a nice watchable copy with no freezing?
@timberlou, You got it Bro... I just made a backup of Deuce Bigalow, it't got all that d..ned sony "protection" on it but DVD43, free, DVDShrink, free, and DVDDecrypter, free, ate it like it was Mama's apple pie... It plays beautifully on all my players and has a custom label from Customlabels.com. Plays great, looks great... Life is Great!!!!
2old i have one for you, if i have a copy that plays on my computer but is freezing on the stand alone because of the label, can i copy the disk to a printable dvd and then use it on the stand alone unit or do i need to start with the real copy first?
Hey Ruger, I just made a backup of Deuce Bigalo, yes it has all that new sony crap on it but, the updated DVD43 cut right through it... Like a hot knife through butter!! HE HE
timberlou, If it plays on your computer it probably can be copied, so go for it.. I have done this with a few of the ones that I stuck a label on. Sometimes it's very hard. I had to set DVDDecrypter in the agressive mode and spent a lot of time changing between drives, etc. but was able to recover most of them. The ones I couldn't recover, went in the trash...
hey 2old are these the right ones to buy (Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD+R White Inkjet Hub Printable Media 100 Pack Tape Wrapped) i already got the new printer
Those TY’s should work fine. A lot of the guys on here swear by them. I personally have not used the TY, I only use Verbatim 16x, inkjet printable but you should be OK.. Let us know how it goes…
hey 2old where can i get a picture for the dvd (the 40 year old virgin) it is not on the site you sent me anywhere else?
Go here: http://www.cdcovers.cc/ Do a search under DVD Covers for "The 40 Year Old Virgin" Use 40 not forty.. And remember numbers come before letters so it will be near the top of the list. I just got it today...
you the man 2old, just downloaded it looks great i was playing with some old jvc dvd's tried to copy the movie and it froze but the fuji dvd one copied good i get them real cheap but there not printable i am waiting for the new ones to come so i can start to make my labels i tried to get r-200 but they stoped making it so i had to get the r-320 tried it today works great looks like a real one dvd.
Another good cover site is Http://www.covers.to/ . They generally have a wide selection, most are high quality scans. When you type in the movie name do not include "the" if that is the first word in the name. For example use "Island" rather than "The Island". At cdcovers.cc you have to use "The" as the first word if that's how the name starts. Dave
Ok, Stick on labels are bad. Are even the full face matte and photo labels sold by Neato bad also. I thought being full faced labels and using the applicator that they would always be centerd. As for using a Sharpie marker, will any Sharpie do ?? Thanks...
ANY label is BAD! I been there, done that and got the T-shirt... Plus about 200 disks with labels that won't play... A Sharpie or any marking pen with a soft point.. The hard points will mark the media coating, through the disk and screw it up...
2old i got it to copy with one click if i use 2 drives it would not copy so i tried using just one to read and burn dont know why but it worked thanks anyway
