please move as needed. most 2 channel amplified speakers are side powered, meaning one speaker contains the amp while the other is non powered. other labtec brand uses 2 single channel amps, one in each enclosure. odd question--- for any single sided speakers, which plug connection represents the active speaker, tip or ring? I am going to make a special plug/jacks "Y" for a pair of speakers using only the active speaker from each set. with the "Y" I end up with 2 volumes. one for left, one for right. speakers of this design are either rare or too many $s. answer please.
