Yeah, again, I'm not sure if it wil work, and even though it is kind of redundant, it is worth a shot. I remember reading somewhere that remake pro can effect the DVD structure (or something like that) and that FixVTS can correct this. Hopefully this turns out ok for you.

edit: Also, you may want to look at this guide for DVDRemake, it explains how to edit out specific extras, PUO's, FBI warnings, etc. Pretty basic and informative. Just click on chapters 1-5 on the left. Hope it helps.

drdeutsch...don't give up on RMPro. I have had very few problems using it, and usually it was something I was doing wrong when I did.

The first thing I do after editing a Remake file is to see if it will launch in a player like PowerDVD. There is what is called "Export Test DVD" on the file menu. This provides a quick test with a small file. If it will launch, then the edited files usually go through RB just fine. If it doesn't, then usually I find I knocked out "First Play"...and I think this is what you might have done. Sony is also involved with the movie, and they are known for weird DVD Archetecture.

On rare occasion, I have found that "hidding" the first warning does create problems with the archetecture. Here is a possible workaround. For example, click on the FBI warning or whatever is the very first warning that you don't want. Then move the cursor to the larger view window below. Right click on the cursor and you will get a pop-up menu. Choose "replace with still" and choose the default black box. This replaces the warning clip with a still that plays for such a short time you don't even see it.

Along these lines, when you select one of the top frames, you also have a slider bar below the viewbox where you can view everything in the frame. When you right click, you will see options like "cut to here" and "cut from here." You can also use this to "surgically" remove the warnings without disrupting the DVD archetecture. If for some strange reason a warning has to start, you can also limit the length of time it plays to a fraction of a second using the same functions. You would just split and cut out most of the frame.

Whatever you do, don't "Hide Block" on a blank box at the start of the DVD. I've found this will often knock out First Play.

One last thing. I've never had to use FixVTS in over 400 backups, nor have I ever tried to back up Winged Migration. At some point I may need to use FixVTS, and I'm glad it is around. You are faced with the exception here, and you are on the hunt for a workaround. Most of the time the process is DVD Decrypter OR RipIt4Me >>Remake>>DVD-RB-encode or Shrink, etc.
