Laptop hardrive to fit a desktop hardrive???

    Sorry if im in the wrong section..
    Apologises if i am..


    Is there any possible way to get a 80gb dell hardrive to fit a desktop computer. Connections (ribbons)obviously are a different size.Can i get ones to fit or is there another possible way to attatch it???
    Also the dvd drive from the laptop, can i get this to fit the desktop where the cd drive is?/
    Any help would be apprciated it.

    put the laptop hd into an external 2.5" usb enclosure so can be used as a data drive on any pc.

    2.5" usb enclosure ??
    Where do i find this? is it inside the computer or should it be on the back?
    Not really up to date on all this.

    Can i use this to save stuff on the 80 gb driva also from my computer??

    yes as i use both 2.5" & 3.5" drives with their own enclosures for that purpose.
