Latest Starview HD Combo Unit File THIS IS NOT NAGRA 3 FIX

hi there..just passing on the latest news...theres a new file out within next few days for the starview combo hd...its supposed to be a fix for the nag3...only for this box though..its not hearsay,as most will come on and say,but its from the manufacturers themselves..we will have to wait and see..
p.s if you like what you hear,tell others,if you dont,no use in slagging!

 

Im not slagging you but that information you have received is totally untrue, there is no fix for N3 anywhere at the present time, even on the sat scene, which is where you would find it first if anywhere.

I'm not going to slag you off at all mate but it seems you have been told a total lie. Maybe someone is trying to drum up trade of these boxes before Christmas.

And if the manufacturers whisper a word of them releasing such a fix expect them to be shut down and hauled before the courts quick smart. Which has been happening on the sat scene for a while.

hi i also only get to 20% before failing is it something im doing wrong or are we waiting for a fix............this is for the new starview hd batch with built in ethernet port

Below is the file for the New combo box the one with the lan connection and the files are NOT compatable with each other they will each kill the other box so be aware of this when you are loading the firmware

Hi I'm thinking of buying one of these as a Christmas present to myself, but after reading some posts is there any point, will they be useless soon?
If I get one could any kind person, give me an idiots guide on setting it up, from opening the box to watching all the channels and updating the thing. I had a starview PVR but it died a few months ago. And my brother set it up for me, but like a typical bloke didn’t explain to me what he was doing. I can’t ask him as he’s away at the moment in Afghanistan, thanks in advance, Jo

 

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE EXPERIENCING A DOWNLOAD PROB WITH GROOVERIDER FOR THE HD COMBO (IE ONLY REACHING 20%) IT MEANS THAT THE FIRMWARE IS CORRUPT AND YOU WILL NEED THE RIGHT ONE...

Boxes on N** and C***** are dead in the water so dont buy any unless you want a large ash tray for your coffee table.

 

i had the 20% problem, the uad file has flashed now do i still need to flash a bootfile with the lan box?

 

hi the non FTA channels are coming up as scrambled and i have tried to access the hidden menu by highlighting accessory and keying 8989 but key-edit does not appear on the right side please help thanks in advanced

was I talkin to you? no, I was addressing another poster posting the same thing all over the place when I already answered them in their initial post, now why dont you take yer bike and rev up and........

 

Seems like most people are getting confused about which box they have and which firmware to use. If your update gets to 20% and crashes you are probably trying to flash the wrong firmware to your box. The older Combo HD (non-LAN)uses the F350 firmware. The newer Combo HD+ (with LAN) uses the latest GrooveRider firmware. All the guides I've read are spot on how to flash.

I am a novice & my HD Combo is not setting up. I cannot view any non FTA channels & when I view my content it looks like all French channels. I have pieced together from the advice what I am actually doing & would welcome some guidance on what I am doing wrong. Thankyou

What I am doing -
Load grooverider file & boot file on to your usb memory stick,make sure power is off on machine and insert the memory stick into the front usb socket underneath the front flap.
Turn the HD Combo on.
From the main menu go to Utility Accessories and then press the right arrow button and select usb from the right hand side, you will see the grooverider file (GrooveRider_HD_Combo_F3.50_1118.uad)press ok on it and make sure to select SW+ALL DATA UPDATE. Use password OOOO. The machine will update and restart (don't pull your memory stick out until the machine has fully started up)
Repeat usb for boot file (Boot_V0021) on Memory stick
You now need to scan your channels, so go to installation press the right arrow button again and go down to AUTO CABLE SEARCH all you need to change here is the symbol rate. The symbol rate determines your area for example ntl is 6887, the other numbers are 6952 for telecast and EXc&w.
When you have selected your area go to start scan & when scan has finished go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989" you will then see "keyedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that UCAS & UCAS Autoroll is on if its off just turn it on.
Ignore the keycodes behind the keyedit button ?
I have also ignored doing a factory reset ? If I do then when & save to new default settings ?
Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok.
Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears
PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UPTO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE
Channel list.All your channels are categorised by pressing ok on your remote brings up the channel list but it will be in simple layout, pressing the red button takes you to detail, now if your list don't appear to be categorised you will need to press the SAT button on the remote and you need to select cable at the bottom of the list this will then give you the categories, to change each section you simply use your left or right arrow buttons

 

Hello all.
I am stuck in the 20% load & fail circle. I presume because I loaded the old firmware first & it is now interfering with loading the updated firmware. I have tried doing a factory reset & this does not clear the old to allow to load the new.
Any other suggestions.
