I have a 5 year old Sony Grand Wega 42 LCD rear projection that has started to show a small area in the lower right part of the screen that looks blueish. You can't see it if the color is dark, only if the color is a light shade does it show up.
Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Probably lamp is starting to get old... this starts happening with most rear projections after a certain # of lamp hours...

I had the 50inch SXRD once and it showed the same sympton. They replaced the optical block and the tv has been screwed up since. Blue tint was gone but the PQ was so crappy I replaced the tv.

The lamp has been recently replaced.
Since posting this I have found other threads about the oprical block issues. This is what it appears to be from descriptions that I have read.
