lcd screen

    Hi is there any difference betwenn the lcd screens that are soft and go black when you run your fingers over them and the screens that are harder plastic?

    Is one better than the other>

    Can you give a better example ? What were these 2 different types of screens, you tried these on ?

    Hard plastic is on the rear projection sets. Soft is the flat panel ones. IMO

    ok you have your TFT monitor for your PC if you stroke your fingers across the panel it distorts the picture and an oiley pattern follows where you aplied pressure.

    The TV im looking at is like this but others have a hard plastic screen that u can tap with your hand and it will do nothing.

    In both cases they are both LCD. I was wondering if 1 was more reliable than the other??
