lcd screens

    does the typical wide lcd screen eliminate the need to use the horizontal arrows at the bottom of the screen, if they are even displayed?

    i use 1080x1920 windows 7 doesnt have bars on the sides (or top and bottom) of the screens,games on full screen dont have bars on.some poor quality video files do.
