    Hey, I'm just getting started with this whole stuff and I read a quote that said it wasn't illegal to copy rented videos. Is that true? Please let me know.

    Yes, its true. Will they come after you for copying a rental? Probably not if you don't try to make copies and sell them on the open market. This forum's policy is totally against piracy of any kind. So its up to your moral judgment.
