Roughly how long does it take for example to compress the matrix 7.3gb so it fits onto one disk using the following apps:

    DVD Decripter
    DVD Shrink
    DVD2One

I'm thinking of buying DVD2One hense asking this question_X_X_X_X_X_[small]YO[/small]

As I can remember it took somewhere between 15 to 18 minutes for Matrix
And if you have not purchased it as of yet... you will be very pleased with the results..

I have used DVD Decrypter/DVD2one/Nero now to back up Gladiator, LOTR, Star Wars Episode 2, Gettysburg (2 disks), and Jurasic Park 3 all with excellent results. Length of time has been pretty consistant within the following range for each: DVD Decrypter 20-29 mins, DVD2one 18-25 mins, Nero 15-22 mins. I'm using a P4 2.4GHz w/512Mb and NEC ND-1100A+RW drive.

smartripper or dvd decrypter to rip to hard drive; dvd2one to compress the movie to make it fit in to one disk (full disk or movie only); nero/recordnow to burn.

Is there a specific way in order to copy because i have 2 questions

Q1. I have my vob files do i need to copy audio_ts or will the vobs contain the audio?

Q2. I was unaware that you are not supposed to use the wizard until today but is this causing nero to come up with the following errors before i write:

"DVD-Video files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?"

"There has been a possible read error during the operation, which may result in a defective write. Do you wish to continue the write anyway?"

They burn the vobs ok and they even open if you explore the disk but it will not direct boot or open when putting in the dvd player in the pc or my home tv dvd player.

    a) audio will be incl. (add all files to VIDEO_TS folder)

a)i use Nero Wizard (no problems here)

a)you will need .VOB .IFO & .BUP for Nero to burn a DVD compliant DVD-R containing video.

    peace
