thought you good people would like to see an article I saw in Computer Active magazine under the banner LET IT RIP.

New anti-piracy measures could make DVDs unplayable on some DVD players.
Recently, macrovision, one of the companies developing digital rights management protection, launched its Ripguard technology. it claims this will prevent most of the current DVD ripping (copying) programs from working because it stalls the copying process. However it could render some players obsolete. Macrovision said the new technology will work in "nearly all" current DVD players, but it did not specify how many problems could have a problem with Ripguard. the protection could also mean that DVDs are also unplayable on PCs.

If their is a will, their is a way. Every security feature made to stop ripping is always beat. It may take some time but it can happen.
