@rihgt682 - must be difficult; the best i can offer is there's always someone out there got it worse than you.

Now as someone who is no longer as young as i'd like to be, the one saying i absolutely detest is when older people say "at least you're got your health" to everyone younger than them :)

..but trust me, there's always someone got it worse. I got no home of my own, a crappy divorce, years of endless crap, etc etc etc, but you'd never tell from my posts/attitude that anything was wrong. ..And there's lots of people out there worse off than me. So chin up young man, it could be worse..honest

<sensible mode off, got work tomorrow, harrumph>

BOOBIE LOVERS...prepare to be grossed out! In 1973, I went to "The Pilgrim Burlesque Theater" (the last of the burlesque theaters in the U.S.; I lived in Boston at the time)...anyway, I went to the Pilgrim to see the (then) world famous [bold]Chesty Morgan[/bold]and her even more famous size 73 boobies!

I rather wish they still had shows/theaters like that. She came out with all this skimpy regalia with each boobie on a silver tray being carried by two midgets each carrying a boobie over his shoulder on a silver tray.

Those shows were so neat .. adult entertainment with dinner, you brought the wife or girlfriend, full orchestra ... the whole nine yards. Lots of booze. Those of you who have seen Bette Midler Videos will get some taste for what they burlesque houses were like; Bette Midler fashioned her shows after the old burlesque shows. I'd only seen a couple of genuine burlesque shows before they disappeared off the face of the earth entirely. About a year later, I went back to the Pilgrim with my buddy John who had never seen a burlesque show but the place had been turned into a strip joint full of perverts wearing long raincoats. Ah well.

Chesty Morgan went on to make a few soft core porn movies...one called "Deadly Weapons" where she played a CIA assasin (or something of the sort).

The only ways you could have it worse is if you had my ex but then maybe not, let's see you'd have my clothes, house, collectibles, all material things but it still isn't worth having her. Chris

    Hey guys...

I had a sh*t night... went to the homecoming dance... I was in for maybe an hour and I see my two best friends come in with their women... I spent a bit seeing all the other guys dancing with their girlfriends... I felt like just giving up on it... I went outside and just sat for three hours. It was the longest night of my life...

    I'm love sick :'(

Hey everyone. I have been reading along with this thread for a while now, but now I actually have something negative to report.

I almost died today. Well, not die, but seriously injured. Before I begin the story, I want to point out that neither me nor my family got hurt at all.

It was a Sunday morning. We were planning of driving two hours north to go sightseeing in northern Ontario and take pictures of Maple Trees turning orange for the fall. My dad was driving, my mom was in front helping out with the map & directions. Myself, my sister, and my grandma were at the back. After a while of driving, we decided to stop for directions at an antique shop. The lady said theres a "shortcut" to get to our destination.

We listened to her, but the directions she gave us led us to a road that is both one-laned and narrow. We got to a strange intersection that was not mentioned in the lady's directions. At first, it looked like a 4-way stop sign intersection. We stopped at our stop sign, and started to go straight again. But then, we heard skidding coming from the right side and then monstrous impact hitting the rear of the car.

After talking with the other driver of the other car, we found out that it was not a 4-way stop sign (we are used to 4-way stops in the small neighbourhood we come from). We were going North-South, the other car was going East-West. Apparently, the road going North-South only gets 40km/h and needs to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The road going East-West gets 80km/h and no stop sign at the intersection. Oh c'mon, how were we supposed to know? Besides, the other car was going quite fast, about 90k/h. We stopped at the stop sign, saw the incoming car, but expected that car to stop at the intersection.

[bold]The thing that bothered me the most is that if the collision happened 1 second earlier, then our car would have been hit from the side, where my family is seated. [/bold]

I didn't get much impact, I was seated at the far left and we got hit at the right-rear of the car. My grandma was sitting at the far right - thank god she didn't get hurt.

The police came and sorted everything out. We got the fine for not yeilding at the stop sign. The rear bumper fell off along with one tail-light. The officer said that if we can somehow take the pieces of the car with us, we can drive home. We folded together the cheap plastic bumper and the tail-light and stuffed them into the trunk. After talking with the cops, the directions we got from the lady were actually correct, but we didn't get the details. They then explained the best way to get home.

    But wait..it gets better...

The car key was left in the car during the whole time when the police was doing their business with us. They left before seeing us leave (they're not supposed to do that!!). When we were about to drive away, we couldn't start the car up because the battery died! A few people stopped to try to help but they had no cables to boost up our battery. One guy stopped and called his buddy (apparently a tow-trucker) to come and help us. The tow trucker said "...I have to tow something. We don't do this stuff, you can't just have a battery boost." He finally agreed to come, but says he'll charge $50 bucks for it.

While he was on his way, one man stopped for us and he had cables! He boosted up our battery and we were on our way home while the tow-trucker was still on his way to that intersection.

On the way, we stopped at a coffee shop for a break. I saw a girl rush by me while I was entering, apparently pissed off. Then, a man came rushed in and yelled to someone behind the counter, "YOU THREATEN MY GIRLFRIEND AGAIN, AND YOU'LL BE PAYING FOR IT!!" Punches were about to be delivered but they stopped. Friendly people eh...

And that was my day. Now, I'm back home, just finished dinner, and still trying to process what had happened today. Oh, and I'm really, really tired.

@Thefear ... a hell of a bad day to be sure; still, at least you're all o.k. which is certainly the most important thing of all!
