I have no idea about dreamweaver, i only use frontpage, sorry.

My bitch is that ive been offline for 3 days cuz i moved form btbroadband to talktalk. They promised it would all go smooth and i would get my talktalk username and password before my bt one cut me off, of course it was nothing of the sort.

I jsut got my router so all i needed was the username and password, i dont need there disc or anything cause i can just use IE, and they still couldnt manage that.

how do you like comcast? what are your speeds. is it reliable so far? if given the chance would you make the move to comcast again?

I ask because I'm on the fence : DSL -> Cable ; just not sure I want to move ?????????

I'm getting 2.5 down and 428 up with DSL

Regor - Comcast is ok, I like the speed (supposedly its 5-6Mbps/384k) and its pretty reliable. I would probably make the switch unless I could get the same speed DSL for about the same price. I would prefer DSL if speeds were equal or the DSL had a faster upload.

If you like uploading stuff (aka if you torrent) then I would stick with your DSL. Your download is plenty fast (The fastest I have ever downloaded is ~1.5Mbps) so its not really much to worry about. Stick with your DSL unless its giving you problems or is a lot more expensive then Comcast.

The biggest difference in DSL and Cable is the consistency. DSL is supposed to be a more consistent, whereas the cable is dependant on how many people are online. The more users online the slower your speeds will be. With DSL it doesn't matter how many are online.

yea I pay a premium for my DSL service, but it's nice. I have 5 static IP's and relatively fast upload and download. I hate giving that up unless I can get reliable and consistent and comparable service at a lower price. lower than ~79$/month - I pay 100$/mo but includes POTS.

Sounds like you have a pretty good setup regor, I would recommend keeping it unless its giving you problems. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I'ts not that I really hate newbies or junior members.I just wish people woudn't back talk members that need a question answered.I just hate it when people think that they are cool when they post after your question some unnessasary BS.I can realize what it is to be a newbie or a junior because I was one at one time.Went through the whole experience. It doesn't matter what the status of the person is really, it's who's typing and what they are typing that matters.

I don't even know where this all came from,

Peanuts, i agree in some aspects.

However, on the other hand, loadsa noobies have helped me out before, telling me things to solve my problem that i couldnt find out myself.

Thhey have no moved up to junior member status's.

The whole stats/title thing doesnt matter, and i think it was just intended for an extra gimmic, something to aim for.
