It's just the six months.. Over here they normally either leave it longer between or do both at the same time. I've been waiting 5 years for mine to be fixed, it's been dodgy for 14 years, ever since my bike smash at Farringdon. The stick does have it's uses, I want one of those victorian ones with the big blade hidden in it.

Those canes are actually easy to get; dozens of sites, legitimate sites, sell them. A came very close to buying a victorian cane which came from 1880s London. It was rather ordinary looking but had a 13 inch stiletto which would pop out the bottom from a trigger spring mechanism in the crook of the cane. It was awesome ... and in a city such as mine, probably quite useful! strangely, it was perfectly legal to own in the US as an anitque but it was illegal to use as a weapon LOL! I think only US lawmakers could come up with something that dumb! They wanted just over $600 for it. While I came close, I decided that my money could be better spent.

Bummer they wanted so much for the cane. US lawmakers are definitely an interesting.

Sounds like they are trying to pad thier post count by recycling information.

On another note: I need some signature art. It doesn't need to be the dogs b@@ls, but it should be different. Any suggestions?

Not bad. The pile of poo under the bottom pic fits well. Please point me in the direction of the thread, that I'm sure exists somewhere, on how to set-up and use sig pics, quotes and the like. Much appreciated. Thanks.

Well, I'm now in a bitchy mood. We've had a lot of layoffs at work and now I'm literally doing the work of four; it now seems as though I've become the staff writer and editor in chief. Feds are coming in a month or so to do a "quality review" (like they'd know quality if it bit them) and to generally make a nuisance of themselves and stick their collective nose where it doesn't belong. Everything done in the office must be put together by subject in narrative.

About a week or two ago, I started getting compliments about my writing skills from all sorts of folks...vice presidents, managers directors and the like. Imagine, after fifteen years in this job, it suddenly occurs to some five people simultaneously that I can write well. I knew they were up to something; when the compliments start to fly here, one can be sure there's a cost. Perhaps a newbie on the job might be taken in but I've been slinging the bull long enough to know when I'm about to become the victim of the same. So guess who gets to write an entire procedure manual for some nosy feds ... your's truly. I was even asked to be "as verbose as your imagination permits"! In short...really sling the sh** Gerry! While I actually like writing and can circumloquate with the best of them, me thinks I'm becoming the center's beast of burden. My friend's soon to be wife always said I was a beast! Well, I think I can at least get a couple of people transfered here for a couple of weeks then lock myself up somewhere and type my black little heart out!

@Ireland...thanks for posting the directions for the sigs! I knew they were here somewhere but you saved me from the search. I learnt how to post a pic this week...now I'll learn how to do a sig too. Lordie, I'm so ambitious this week; there must be something wrong with me!

Thanks for the sig info. I should have a sparkly new sig up any time now. If only work didn't get in the way I'd have it done sooner.

Hey Haw (yuk-yuk)...couldn't agree with you more. Employers can be so unreasonable expecting you to work at work.
