    It's fun working in the shop and getting paid for sitting on my a$$ wandering around AD.

    Most of the time it seems like I'm just donating my services here, but then every other week they give me a check. Thats when I know I have been donating my services. LOL :)

    Now I'm confined to this damn desk (some promotion) I have so much more "work time" to peruse AD and so little time for actual work ;-)
    however there is still far too much month left at the end of my wages :-(

    My boss just got laid off after 20 years of service; we should all feel some sort of gratitude for our gainful employment else give the positions up so someone else can earn the income. Nasty stance but if you aren't career oriented or haven't experienced the pain of losing a position you worked hard to achieve, I'd say shut up and get a real job.

    @regor.
    Sorry it's a touchy subject for you and I do feel sorry for your boss. I had a similar experience 5 years ago, worked for a company for 15 years to be let go. Taken me 5 years to get back to where I am now. However we are just blowing smoke and shooting the breeze. I'm sure no one here takes there career frivorously, but it's good to do it with a smile and then bank the cash at the end of the month.

    hi :)
    i'm an employer, and i expect all my workers to
    1. slave their fingers to the bone
    2. work through the dinner break
    3. drink a cuppa tea on the move
    4. see the sweat drip off the end of their nose and chin.

    if at the end of the day they are not gibbering wrecks and to tired and worn out to turn the key in the car to drive home. they are no good to me and are fired (oh and i got my lackey person to type this)

    My bitch for the day...

    Some older kids while rough housing at the local water park knocked my boy down and busted his lip and scraped his chin on the concrete and didn't stop to say sorry, neither did the parents. Some parents should be taught some manners so they can pass it along to their kids. They are lucky it was my wife that was at the water park and not me or they would have been schooled.

    Are you trying to get me to post so the blood will drip on me head?

    It wouldn't have been my families blood....maybe just some red asses.

    I will agree with you on parents getting lax in the discipline area. My gdaughter is 5 and riding your bike in her development, and the 7 year old down the street would not let her pass he is already a bully and parents do nothing. The other little girl across the street hits my 3yr old gson for no reason other than he was standing there and the mother does nothing.
