Haha! Old people at their finest!

    (Bitch for today)

Old people who wish they were still sixteen. I've got something to say to you. "NO, YOU DON'T!"

Being sixteen sucks. You are always miffed about something(old people wishing they were sixteen for this matter.) And you have to deal with school and friends. Not to mention romances(mine is good.)

The raging horomones will kill you! One day I wake up feeling fine, the next day I feel like crap, the next day I might be super pissed off about nothing. And nobody understands that it's just horomones and thinks you have mental problems and need to be checked out. Then it's frustrating.

My parents did that and I got SO MAD at them! I told the shrink to "F**K OFF!" as loud as I could yell and stormed out of the room! That may sound a bit overboard but I was mad as hell because my parents just don't understand my daily pressures and worries like I do.

We aren't crazy, just distressed. Some adults can relate but some treat it like it's a disease. I was just at that shrink for the last two hours screaming at my parents because they pulled this bulls**t on me and didn't even tell me they were going to do it.

I AM NOT MENTALLY ILL! I am just stressed and tired from my long week. I can finally sit back and relax and let the weekend wash over without worrying about work and my parents do this. I am SIXTEEN years old! If I need to sit on the computer and relax a couple times a day I am not secluding myself from the world. I am gone most of the day and this is what I CHOOSE to do in my free time.

My parents think I am on here too much. I average an hour and a half altogether a day. Anything I might have said about being on here all the time was a joke. I am gone all day at work or with my girlfriend or at the lake fishing. This is not how I need to spend my summer; sitting with a shrink because I'm an emotional teen.

Do you fellow teens agree with me? I feel like I'm going crazy just sitting here telling you guys this but I need some confirmation that I'm not going crazy! Who here has raging horomones? Any hands?

    Paul Thurrott Bitten by WGA
Posted by Zonk on Friday July 21, @09:41AM
    from the watch-who-feeds-you dept.
    Microsoft Windows
suntory writes "Paul Thurrott, one of the most important Microsoft advocates, has been bitten by Windows Genuine Advantage. As some Slashdot users have reported, Paul installed a bunch of updates in his machine and now Microsoft thinks that he is using pirated software." From the post: "Truthfully, I can only imagine what triggered these alerts. The software was installed to a VM a long time ago and archived on my server. I no doubt used a copy of XP MCE 2005 that I had received as part of my MSDN subscription. If the WGA alerts are to be believed, it's possible that Microsoft thinks I've installed this software on too many machines, though that seems unlikely to me. I can't really say. Anyway, that's what it looks like to be a suspected pirate. Like many people who will see these alerts, I don't believe I did anything wrong. I'm sure that's going to be a common refrain in this new era of untrusting software and companies. Ah well."

    ireland,

Wish I was you. Having the same experience but with a 51 year old mother and a 48 year old dad. They just don't relate like some younger parents might. My dad was popular and my mom was always just quiet. But they're well meaning and they apologized. I am becoming a man and it's tough to handle.

Thanks for that reminder of what my teen years are. You calmed me down and saved me from a crappy weekend*hugs*

    *sigh* What a day!

and thanks to all for your concerns.

    The Ultimate WinXP Rebuild Feature

This has got to be the handiest tip I have seen in a long, long time. If you are an XP user, how about a WindowsXP option that allows you to completely and nondestructively rebuild, repair, or refresh an existing XP installation. And the kicker is, it leaves all your installed software alone.

It also leaves user accounts, names, and passwords untouched and takes only a fraction of the time a full, from-scratch reinstall does. And unlike a traditional full reinstall, this option doesn't leave you with two copies of XP on your hard drive. Instead, you end up with just the original installation, but repaired, refreshed, and ready to go.

    Langa Letter: XP's No-Reformat, Nondestructive Total-Rebuild Option

<B>Fred Langa</B> shows you how to completely rebuild, repair, or refresh an existing XP installation without losing data, and without having to reinstall user software, reformat, or otherwise destructively alter the setup.

I THINK I WILL BUY TWO,ONE FOR ME DOG AND ONE FOR ME

Panasonic to offer $70,000 plasma TV for Christmas
    Wolfgang Gruener

    July 21, 2006 14:55

Secaucus (NY) - Christmas is less than half a year away and some of us may already setting up their wish list for their parents and spouses. If you are looking for something different this year, ditch that Porsche and consider the world's largest plasma HDTV.

Panasonic is delivering on its promise that it would be offering a 103" plasma TV, which is expected to be the world's largest plasma TV screen size when it hits the market. Large TVs never have been cheap at their market introduction, but Panasonic may be setting a record with a price that is high enough to qualify for the headline of this year's Neiman Marcus holiday catalog. The TH-103PZ600U will cost a stunning $69,995 and 95 cents, including a three-year in-home limited warranty - which is "unprecedented" in the industry, according to Panasonic.

"Panasonic didn't create the world's largest plasma TV as a technology demo for a trade show," said Andrew Nelkin, Panasonic's display group vice president. "We created it because, as worldwide sales of Plasma TVs continue on a meteoric rise, the market is seeking bigger displays on which people can experience the High Definition lifestyle.

If you are looking for a reason of the stratospheric price tag, it can be found simply in production yield. There are few factories today that actually can produce such a panel and even in those few, not every panel produced can be used for a 103" TV. For example, the most advanced panel fabs currently in operation, commonly referred to as "7G" fabs, manufacture panels with a size of 1870 mm by 2200 mm, which is barely enough to be used for one 103" panel. Typically, those 7G panels are divided into up to six 46" panels, eight 40" panels or twelve 32" panels. Depending on the production yield, those numbers are lower, because of defects in the panel. The next generation of LCD panel fabs, 8G, will be producing panels with a size of 2200 mm by 2500 mm.

Panasonic promises that the TH-103PZ600U runs at full HD resolution (1080p or 1920 x1080 progressive), offers a 4000:1 contrast ratio and 4096 equivalent steps of gradation. Its effective display area is more than 89.3" wide by over 50.2" high, Panasonic said. The Panasonic TH-103PZ600U will be built to order and is expected to be available from select high-end electronics retailers in December. The 103" will also require "professional installation due to its weight and size," Panasonic said.

Just in case there is some extra cash left over, Panasonic will gladly recommend the purchase of a $5300 extension, consisting of a $1300 Blu-ray player, a $1000 receiver and a $3000 speaker system.

Paul Thurott"s explanation on MS thanks Ireland wish I woud've had that on my one build when it took 3 days of arguing with MS that I hadn't switched XP home full edition as many times as they said saying I had to buy XP again. This was only the 2nd time I switched Mobo's.I now keep receipts for the XP os that I buy. Thanks again Ireland for all the great info you supply us with.Wish you was here I'd toast' & salute you and buy you a beer and drool after all those lovely maidens you have in your arsenal. But alas I'll settle for my morning coffee and have good thoughts for a well respected person here on AD. Chris

Also the Win XP rebuild will be trying that out tomorrow.

    Movies File Share Top Ten

p2pnet.net Feature:- p2pnet's regular, and unique, Movies File Share Top Ten has returned ---------> and it's back with a special BitTorrent chart.

We also thought it'd be a good time to update Big Champagne's explanation of how it develops the stats. So, "Here's how we arrive at the BT stats,” says Adam Toll.

“We monitor BT sites (a constantly evolving set) and observe, in addition to all the other available information, the number of users leeching (downloading) each title at any given time. Using the information collected and processed continually, we then calculate the average number of simultaneous leechers for each period. This is a little different from the P2P measure, as explained below.

“While the P2P measure published on p2pnet.net shows the average simultaneous users who are sharing the movie on P2P networks, the BT measure represents the relatively smaller number of people who are, on average, actively downloading the movie (in other words, in the process of downloading the movie) at any given time. This is a very different statistic. These two measures are a consequence of the differences in the ways that P2P and BT work.”

With all the dross being continually pumped out on what's supposedly happening with p2p, it's good to have at least one research firm which knows, and shows, the picture as it really is as opposed to the way the supposedly 'independent' reports commissioned by the entertainment and software cartels present it.

    Before ........[IMG]

p2pnet.net News:- This Reader's Write was posted under the RIAA: Undesirable Element story.

    Before ....

    Before there were record labels.
    Before there were contracts.
Before there was commercialism, cash , cocaine, and extortion ..

    There were musicians.

These are people that create music.
The REAL artists do it because they must.
    It beckons to them,
    Burns in their blood.

It is an artist's joy and burden.

    I know .. because I REALLY AM a musician.

The RIAA, and it's associated labels, do not, nor have they ever

    CREATED anything ...

    They exploit. Nothing more.

    When they die,
Musicians will still play, artists will still create.

Slept hard last night and hit up El Mezcal for lunch with Jacelynn. Didn't go last night because of complications.

Nephilim, the Pasole rojo was pretty damn good. Nice and hearty with just the right amount of spices. The ladyfriend liked it but says it wasn't hot enough. She's gonna try the verde next time :)

Also, got Xbox live this afternoon. Anyone wanna hook up? My gamerttag is aries2110.
    I have:
    Halo 2
    SW Battlefront 1
    Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
    Ghost Recon 1
    Full Spectrum Warrior
    CounterStrike

PM me and give me your tag if you wanna play :)

Yeah the bulls***ters were out in force in the console forums too. Some prick claims to have something that those of us who know are well aware doesn't exist. Would expect more from not a n00b but I suppose everybody likes to try and be big once in a while.. great pleasure destroying that one. It's the main school (read retard training camps in the uk) holidays..that's where they all come from.
