Through this forum i was able to find a firmware upgrade for my dvd multi drive. The drive is a X4 speed drive but i am yet to record at that speed. i am hoping that the firmware upgrade will help. when i try to upgrade the firmware i am told that the program cannot find the drive, even though i have followed ALL of the instructions in the included readme,and the drive is recognised in explorer. it also says that the drive is a cd drive. is this right? please help me!!
Had the same problem in XP Professional. Restart your PC and start windows in Safe Mode (Press F8 on startup). Run firmware update again and it should work. You musthave put the drive as Master ONLY on Secondary IDE channel.
