    Hello All,
I added external .srt subtitles to my MKV files which were copied from Blu-ray Disc which was successful when playing in VLC. However, when I tried to play the MKV files on my lg projector using their video player(their website says their video player supports .srt files) the players SUB button is grayed out. Upon researching on the internet, I read that the lg webos is a Linux based system so I thought maybe the Linux version of VLC may be able to be downloaded onto the lg projector like I’ve read what some people do on their smart TVs. Any help would be appreciated. The following is how the files are named in the same folder as instructed from lg website.

    Thor (2011).mkv
    Thor (2011).srt

    Thanks ib

Is there a space in the filename between r and the bracket? or does it just look like it. That could cause problems.
