what part are you confused on? Or is all of it confusing? ask me some specifics and I'll try and walk you through it. We can use PM if you'd like. I have never used Ed's debian, but I'm pretty (ok, somewhat) familiar with gentoox, so i should be able to help you figure it out. I've been thinking about putting a version of debian on my box just to see if I like it better than gentoox. Maybe I will and we can kinda walk through it together.
