Hi! I'm having tons of problem using this drive.. First, I'm having problems with playback.. Everytime I play a DVD disc, pixellization appears all over, it stalls suddenly and I have to restart the computer to find all these happening AGAIN.. i haven't burned any media yet and I think some OTHER problems might occur.. Will the problems above solve if I exchange the drive with a new one? Thanks!

Are the dvds you are playing original store bought or possible copies from others? If original, then I might suspect the drive itself. If you are playing copies from others, then it could be the disc or the way they were burned.

I had the same problems with the same drive. Try swapping it for a Pioneer 106 if you can. No probs since then.

I have no problems like that with my Liteon 411s.
It works just fine using firmware FS0H.

The problems that I have seems to be software related.
    Dvd Xcopy problems.

Anyways other friends are happy with the same drive, also have FSOH firmware.

    Good Luck!!

You are right dude. I'm using Shrink now, I started with Xcopy but Shrink is much much better, you dont get that screen starting the movie that remainds you that you have spend your money on a usless software and that it's a backe up dvd. Come on! I made the back up my self!! lol I know that already!!
