i have a problem i just got this writer it can use dvd + and - r(w) at 4 speed xcept dvd-rw at 2 but that is not the point in nero(6.0.0.23) i cant burn dvd-r at 4 speed i cant even choose from it. while it let me but dvd+r at 4 speed. what am i doing wrong i got the latest firmware or is it nero cos i didnt tried a other program yet cos i dont know any other one
Just because a DVD disc is rated 4X by the manufacturer doesn't necessarily mean it can be burned at 4x by your burner unless the firmware of the burner is able to recognize the disc and formulate an optimal writing strategy. Go to Lite-On's website and download the latest version of SamartBurn utility which will tell you the actual burn speed of the disc by clicking on the disc icon: http://www.liteonit.com.tw/ODD/zip/SmartBurn.zip
