little problem.. any suggestions..

    seagate doubtful as you need to send it to a data recovery place at about $500+

    right now i would say yes but if you can get an identical working drive even with bad sectors cheaply(just in case it gets fried too) to switch the circuit boards as i have done that a # of times & usually but not always worked.
