I just transcoded an AC3 AVI file to low-res DVD in TMPGEnc. Now I have a little square made up of 9 smaller squares jumping around the playback screen on the MPEG file. It wasn't in the AVI just the transcoded MPEG. It looks like a representation of the number pad (just the 1-9 keys) on your keyboard. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

Never mind. It was Elecard free MPEG2 playback software's logo. Uninstalled and it's gone.

I was afraid to answer your question.
I thought you were smoking something.
    Little white dancing squares indeed.

I thought it was strange too. But when "upgraded" to MMC 9.0 from 8.5 I lost MPEG2 playback. ATI pisses me off! The only free MPEG2 software I could find was Elecard. Apparently, unless you pay for the platinum edition you get their logo jumping around all over the screen. WMP 10 has MPEG2 so I deleted Elecard the little dancing box is gone.

I don't want to crosspost so I'll just attempt to link to my original.
I think that it fits in this catagory better anyway.
... and the circles and lines are real.
no alcohol or drugs involved and I have a witness.
But it was really weird and I would appreciate any ideas of where they came from.
