Could Depend on your Bandwith Bud - I have a 3MB (2.61 Mb when tested) connection and so when i am looking for my sports i normally stick to around 700Kbs\, This is roughly a quarter of my Bandwith. By doing this i am well inside my limits while taking into account the amount of traffic on my isp server.(this can slow down dramatically depending on traffic).
That way it very, very rarely freezes, I got to watch the golf all last weekend too,and am watching milan v bari as i type,
Follow what i said and you should have no worries -
Let me know if that helps

Can't seem to get Tvants working, Is it just me ? I've been reading that you need to a proxy from the UK. Is this the same in Ireland ?

    Thanks

Go into your windows firewall settings, click "exceptions" and make sure Tvants is in the checklist if not click add programme and browse for it. - could be that windows is not letting it connect

To use TvAnts now you need to download and install Vidalia which is TOR and Privoxy and then when it's running you click on a link or select open TvAnts and select channel. They changed it while ago so now you need a proxy for korea I think it is mostly. Works sweet though, watched two matches today on it in perfect quality.

Or else you won't get a connection to any servers. Which means no channels.

Don't really understand how this works. My folks have sky and sky sports but don't use sky player. They are based in Sligo and I am based in Dublin. Do I need to be a registered customer of sky or how could I capitalise on this ?

Bluesy from what i understand, you will have to hop on to sky.com - go to live player or (skylive.com?)i think all you have to do is enter your customer information (as in familys name, address and account information)then i think you pick a name and a password, save all info, bookmark your tabs and away you go!!i told two mates before the weekend to do this and have had no phonecalls to say it didn`t work
    Hope this helps Bud

Thanks for this Knotaclu, will give it a try and see what happens- as long as it doesn't cause the folks any grief, if dad lost his sky sports I could be disowned.

No Worries Bluesy I think you will be safe from the `ould lad,it only accesses the internet to your account, like you were on holidays or away on for work, with your laptop so you can access your sky tv,Will not stop the parents watching it at the same time.If you think about it for a sec, The Internet and TV are seperate entities - one shouldn`t be able to interfere with the other.

Hi knotaclu, set it up ok but the signal keeps stopping and showing that it's buffering up - don't know if that's something with the broadband strength or my settings - any suggestions ?

buffering means you have an internet bandwith problem,in other words you internet is not fast enough to keep up,put it on pause for a few minutes and you should see the progress bar on the bottom build up, let it build up to about 3/4 full then press play
