Lockable/Unlockable hard drives

    well like i said earlier if you want one retty cheap look at my previous post. they have pretty good drives just check it out ;)

    Better check before you buy. I've read somewhere that you can not install over 137 GB unless you have a special bios that will read the extra data. Just looking out.

    all the newest bios supposts hard drives over 137 gigs

    i got the evox m7 bios and the xevcuter 4973/83 forget which one , on my one mod chip

    that should work right? I ordered a 200 gig WD

    any of the new xecuter bios should support it (xecuter 4981, 83)

    just decide whether you want the .06 (large f drive) or .67 (w/ g drive) or the so-called F or G bios, respectively

    I've heard that if you put a different hard drive into an xbox it has to be new/unused. Is this true? Could i take a formatted HD out of my computer and put it in my xbox?

    well you can use a used hard drive you'll have to delete everything on it and put it in your box, install it using the slayers disc. bu i really don't reccomend used drives beacuse they aren't garanteed to work although you could give it a try

    I see, so if all the partions are deleted and it's total clean, it "might" work.
