I us XBOXhdm to set up a new harddrive for a Xbox. Everything went well until i tried to lock the drive. I typed lockhd in the dos promt, after that I selected the drive i wanted to lock. But at that moment i wanted to quit because i was not sure. So i typed quit in the password field and hit the enter button. I guess my harddrive is locked with password "quit" but I'm noyt able to unlock this drive again with "quit" Does anyone know how to unlock the drive.....?
have you tried the xboxhdm default password.. "XBOXSCENE" (caps and without the quotes) also try turning off your PC's Hard drive auto detection in the bios as some can freeze the drive when confronted with a locked one
XBOXSCENE doesn't work either. The password normally has 40 chars. I think the password to unlock is somthing like "quit0000000000000000000000000000000000000000" but this does not work.
