Hi, i want to put a 120gb hard drive in my xbox and i was wondering what must i do. Im no good at ftp'ing. Do i need to lock/unlock the hard drive as i dont intend on going on live if so how do i do it. Also can i just put my new xbox hard drive straight in without getting info off my stock hard drive. thanx
ok if its a brand new drive you must. 1.back up your C AND E to your pc 2.format the Hard disc(theres a couple of ways to do this, i send raw commands via FTP, but you could edit your evox.ini) since you dont like to FTP you may as well edit the evox.ini, sea monkey wrote a guide for this site, just click guides. 3.then transfer the C AND E back to the xbox 4.then you can lock the hard disc if you want(you dont have to) if you dont lock it then you cant play your xbox with the chip off, to lock it use an app called carpet magic
