To be honest, I don't think there are any other sites that have the amount of information this site does. I'm not saying this because of my membership here. If you go down the main forum page and look at all the different forum rooms you will see what I mean. There are other good site out there but most are topic specific in most cases. Rpc1.com is a good firmware site. CD freaks is similar to Afterdawn but still not as many topics. Videohelp.com is another good site to check equipment and media compatibility. I do refer people to these other site for different reasons, but most of the information needed can be found here. I don't consider them actually competition just different areas of expertise. Since Drd actually owns this site he may have a different outlook on this subject but I think the general statement I made is probably how most members would look at this. As far as being on here a LONG TIME. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that I was a Newbie along with 2 other Newbies ScubaPete and FastFrank. Now we are sort of the old guys on here but its good to see names like Rotary show up again. Most of the members older than us and still here are now mods (in most cases). Anyway you can check out those other sites but I'll bet you always end up back here. Jerry

I know what you mean about forward the mail here. My wife sort of forgets what I look like at times so I stick my face in the kitchen door and say HI so she doesn't forget me. Jerry

I've been here since aug 2002 and have noticed that a lot of the old ones have been disappearing. People like dela darthnip wilkes where are you guys gone to. But there are still some that are still here like nephilim jerry 746 scubapete etc
