Regards to the community, I am on the look out for a DVD ripper that can convert DVD formats into video formats such as m4v and vob. Can anyone of you suggest me any good software for this purpose.

    Hi
I don’t have so much idea regarding this subject. Just I suggest you to take steps accordingly.

I would have to say my favorite dvd ripper is DVDFAB or Xilisoft dvd ripper. Both of those are good. But if you are looking for a fast ripper, DVDFAB would be the one for you.

Odd.. maybe the bots are programmed to search out their other names and bump. I know how to script that.. but it never works for me.

DVD's are already made up of VOB (Video Object Files) so there is no such software to do that conversion as they are already authored within that extended version of the .mpg container. Unless you are referring to ripping software that allows you to re-author and transcode DVD's to a smaller target size like DVDShrink, DVDFab, CloneDVD2 etc. as mentioned previously.

As for M4V, could you be a little more specific about which codecs you would like to use for the elementary streams?

M4V supports MPEG4 part 10 (AVC/h264) and MPEG4 part 2 (DivX/Xvid) Video formats, as well as various audio formats like AAC, mp2, mp3 etc.

Mods, I think you either need to remove the spammers name somehow or close this thread. I think the bots have an automated search engine that has a database of all the other bots names and they attract to each other like magnets... So in essence they are like a disease... Let's exterminate!
