pazzini, i meant how do i do it with my pioneer(flashed with buffalo), as it is not listed for the manufactures, or will it do it automatically?
Pioneer makes a good data recording drive. It is too bad that they don't put out a drive that does book type settings, without having to be flashed with an outside source. The Liteys are looking good. I love my BenQ drives, and I loved Plextor. Plextor is still the Cadillac, but you pay the price.
I bought the same exact items - the drive and the dics. Had to try out the lightscribe feature huh I've burned two movies - one with my standard Ritek Ridata +R and the Verbatim +R w/ lightscribe both 16X and they seem flawless - no jitters. I swapped it out for my Plextor PX-708A bue to some serious jitters lately. I've had it since December 2003 so I figured it was slowly dying.
yep that litey is working nice for me, and i booktyped a +R to see if it would play in my player that only plays -R and it played great, very happy with this drive
Orion, no i did not change the firmware, i used nero to bookype and used Lite-On bookyping utility too, both worked fine.
Yeah - I used the Lite-On utility and it reads as a DVD-ROM using the Nero utility. How did you booktype using Nero - by using the CD\DVD tool?
this is what i did for nero BTW, i did have an earlier version of nero 7 installed and it didn't show that booktype option
I'm using 6.6.1.15a and it doesn't show. I have read it is suppose to but it doesn't. How do I verify that my Lite-On is capable? It should be - it's the same drive as yours - I'm just wondering what else I would have to change to have this option appear. You like 7 over 6? 7 seems pretty bloated if you install Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced version.
yeah, like i said earlier, when i was using version 7.1.2.0, that option didn't show up either, so i installed a newer version 7.8.5.0 and now i have that option. dont know why it doesn't show up, maybe because when i installed my earlier version i didn't have a drive capable of Bitsetting, just a thought. nero7 has worked good for me edit also you drive is capable, have you tried the Lite-on utility to booktype, you can check after you burn using dvd identifier if it was booktyped
Hi ;-) orion6192 You can use CDSpeed. Goto extra > bitsetting. It should be fairly clear what to do from there. If not post back for more info. N.B. Have a blank disc ion drive concerned.
