Yeah newegg will have the sata cables, are you sure your motherboard didn't come with any?
Check the box, there should be a couple in there.
I'd be kinda suprised if the board didn't come with any.
I know when I bought my gigabyte board there was 4 of them in there.

    @sammorris

Well at least I'm pretty sure it was a demo, The d/l was coming down kinda slow and I wanted to go to bed and didn't feel like leaving the computer up all night, So I just cancelled it.
I'll d/l it tonight and find out for sure.
    I'm hoping it's a demo.

well what do you expect? the 360 is nowhere near as powerful as a PC, so you're not going to get the same quality of graphics. Not to mention that consoles can't anti-alias.

The bottom hard drive slot is fine, there's no right or wrong slot to choose.
    OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer
The cables should come with your motherboard. If not, you can always buy some.

For the life of me i can not figure out how to put in the CPU. It looks like im setting it in their correctly but then it doesnt like close.. Am i supposed to like push it down with force so it locks in or something? (The metal looking side is up) That and there is two notches on either end and they both line up.

    *edit*

Im a retard.. Remove the black covers on the clamp thing and the CPU. Problem solved.

Hehe, well graphics cards are indeed large these days...
You think an 8600GTS is big?

In this picture, your card is the middle one. To the right is the 7900GS, and the big black one is an 8800GTS.

    Now look at this picture
    [IMG]
Here, the long card at the bottom is an 8800GTX. The massive 8800GTS from the previous picture is the tiny one in the middle!

    LMAO!!!
    Ahh dude, your learning.
And giving us a chuckle at the same time, I hope you rembered to put on some thermal paste before you put in the processor.

    Eh?
    Wash your mouth out!
The thermal paste goes on after the CPU but before the heatsink. You don't put Thermal paste in the CPU socket!

I thought you only needed thermal paste if your going to be overclocking :(

    Is it absolutely necessary?

Its like 20$ if i wanted to overnight some of it which is why i was wondering.. Not that big of a deal but if i REALLY need it in order for it to work.

That is indeed true, you only NEED it if overclocking, but thats because you only need it if you're not using the stock cooler Are you using the cooler that comes with the CPU, or a separate one? If the standard one, you simply shove it on, you don't need thermal paste.

The standard one! Thank god.. Haha man those screws were tricky it felt like i was going to snap the mobo in half. They werent even screws they were like push-in kinda things.

    *edit*

    Off to mount the GPU!

I don't want to scare you, but make damn sure that CPU cooler can't come off. The weird twisty plastic things I found easy to install, until my CPU cooler nearly fell off because two of them came undone. Be careful about that one!

Mounting the GPU should be easy by comparison.

Trust me i pushed the hell out of those plastic screw thingies. I made sure they snapped into place then i tugged on it. Its not going anywhere. Hopefully.

Im at work now but before i left i managed to mount the MOBO, install the CPU then the GPU and then the sound card. Its all screwed into the case and stuff as well so now all i have left issss... Something? Umm.. Connect all the plugs and stuff? Which i am going to be COMPLETELY clueless on how to do.. I still cant figure out where the cathodes plug into..

    Okay, power connections.

CPU 4 pin - to CPU
ATX 23 pin - to Motherboard
S-ATA Powers (long thin connector, 4 wires) - to Hard drives
Molex Powers (4 pin, connects to CD drives, fans, Cold cathode inverters and so on)
Floppy power connector (smaller version of above, connects to floppy drive if you bought one)

That's pretty much it. Remember to connect the power plug from the CPU fan to the motherboard.
As for the cold cathodes, they come with inverters. You plug molex power connectors into the inverters, and plug the cold cathodes into slots on the inverters.
