Straight up, anybody with any of the radeon cards we discussed here, X1950XT (AGP or PCIe), X1900XT, X1900GT, they should all play Crysis pretty well. I'd expect high detail on resolutions of at least 1280x800...

    Recommended Requirements

    CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
    RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
    VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory
    Storage: 12GB
    Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
    ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
    DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

Well i got the core 2. 2 Gigs of RAM. NVIDIA 8600GTS? How much graphics memory do i have? haha i dont even know. Storage definitely aint a problem. Got the DVD-ROM drive. Got the XP. I have DX 9? Right? Or do i have DX 10? Im clueless

XP, you'll have DX9. DirectX 9.0c, to be precise.

So there is no DX 10 for the XP im assuming? Why's that?

So vista DOES have something XP doesnt?

Indeed, that's one of many ways MS forces you to buy vista. There's a project to get DX10 running on XP, but I don't know how successful it'll be, or if it'll support DX10.1, which is the only version of DX10 I'll ever want to use.

I love Seagate hard drives, they are quite and have the awesome 5 year warranty. I've never had a problem with them.

So is DX 10 a big enough reason to partion my HDD like i originally planned? That and im used to vista at work so its not really a big deal. I just want the most out of the computer and whatnot. 4 gigs for an OS though. Ill have to see if i cant um acquire a single disc version from uh the store.

I've never had any issues with them either, I think it's foolish to downtalk a manufacturer for one or two issues, but then I suppose if you've yet to have a good experience, what have you got to go on?
