Do you need to plug cable into it? Or does it just pick up T.V on its own? T.v tuners confuse me.. I suppose it cant just pull t.v signal out of nowhere right?

Eh.. Its not that big of a deal though. Ill be perfectly happy with all of my other stuff..

Where do you recommend i install the sound cathodes inside the case though? It doesnt seem like theres much room for them.

On the cathodes, it's wherever they look best. I usually go with the spaces above and below the case window, so you see the light they generate but not the tubes themselves.

    Ok another question..

When i plug in the PSU and flip on the power switch the fan doesn't turn on. Granted its just the PSU and its not plugged into anything but i was just wondering if this is normal or not.

I just wanted to see if the PSU was working so i assumed the fan would turn on when plugged in. I guess not?

Also where the heck do the stupid cathodes plug into! It looks like they go with the fans but how do they get power? And whats an inverter..

plug in a optical drive, see if it powers up.

Let us know if that works.

No spare optical drives available sadly :(

But that is the next thing i plan on ordering since its the cheapest on the list.

But just generally speaking shouldnt the fan turn on when its plugged in or no?

    *Edit*

Also do you know if the PSU i bought comes with a 4 pin power connector? Im pretty sure thats what the cold cathodes use. I cant seem to find one..

Out of town? Well sorry, I can't be here every minute of the day!
the PSu fan won't turn on when you just plug it in. However, there are two pins you can artificially join to create the power signal anyway. Use a paper clip or something, just NEVER touch the clip when the PSU's connected to the mains.
See here [pic from techpowerup!] - the red line is your paper clip.

If you're not confident doing that, buy one of these

Cold cathodes use inverters (which come with them, always) to step the 12V DC from the PSU up to around 800V AC to power the lights. The inverters are just powered by normal molex connectors which the power supply will have loads of.

    Aw thanks!

No its fine i was just seeing if that was normal or not. (Havent zapped myself yet) definitely dont think im adventurous enough to put a paper clip in there.

My RAM came yesterday and i installed that to the MOBO with no problems.

    Thanks sam again

Can do, but imho with the 8800GTS it should be 640MB or not at all. 320MB isn't enough memory for a card that fast.

Well, I'm gonna sell this one in the spring and get the 9800gtx. Hopefully it'll be around 600-700 bills
Will probaly have to upgrade my PSU though, running a seasonic s12-430 now, not sure if that will be enough power.

Anyway going back to watching Transformers on HD-DvD, looks damm sweet.
LOL, I don't take coffee breaks, I take afterdawn breaks.
