I'm looking to replace my DVD burner and I'm looking at the Samsung SH-S182D/BEBM or the SH-S202G/BEBN. Does anyone have any opinions on either of these two drives?

The Samsung IDE drives aren't as good as some of the others out there right now. Pioneer, LG & Lite-On would be a better choice from that category. If you have SATA connectivity I would opt for the Samsung 203B as it is one of the best drives available right now...too bad its IDE siblings aren't doing as well.

As a matter of fact, I do have SATA connectivity available on my mobo. I've just not used them yet. Thanks for the input, I may just do that!

Head over to CDFreaks and look up some of the threads about the 203B...they are talking it up pretty good.
