Lord of the Rings new dvds high def?

    Are the new dvds of Lord of the Rings being released as 1080p/i? Does anyone know of any links with some clips of them?

    The new Lord of the Rings dvd's are not in HD. They are just the theatrical and extended versions on 2 discs. There is no release date for the HD versions.

    The only reason to get these new discs are the previously unreleased and highly acclaimed behind-the-scenes documentaries by Costa Botes. He was personally selected by Peter Jackson to make these documentaries and these are must-sees for the diehard LOTR fan.

    New Line is milking the franchise for every dollar they can make so you can be sure these films will reappear in HD format.
