I recently bought a 12" powerbook, and when I first started ripping DVDs, I was using DVD Backup. After I'd finish burning a DVD, I'd trash the DVD files but noticed that about 70Mb weren't coming back on my HD after I'd empty the trash. I now am using MTR and am having no problems, but if anyone has any ideas about where this lost space went (I ripped a few DVDs with DVD Backup and so there is a bit of space missing now), I'd really like to know and get it back.

    Thanks!

I have checked the preferences; the files go to the desktop. But after I trash the files, not all the space comes back on the HD. And this is problem with DVD Backup, NOT DVD2oneX.

Thelox714, or anybody else, do you have any ideas about how to find this missing space through the terminal, (I can't find anything through Spotlight).
