I have ran and AVI file through TMPG and I now have an M2V file and a WAV file which I converted into an AC£ file using Besweet. Could someone please help and tell me what I have to do with the M2V file and AC3 file so that I can burn them onto a DVD, I read somwthing abut multiplexing but I have no idea what to do or how to do it.

You don't need to multiplex, you need to author.
For a simple, autoplay DVD, try ReJig.
For more complex, try DVDLab or Tmpgenc DVD Author.

Thankyou Rebootjim, I downloaded a version of ReJig and used it to author the files... it worked a charm! I can't thank you enough for your help.
