Hi all, One problem really and that is i can't seem to save GBA game progress. I try to use the real time save feature, but every time i load i load to either a blank screen or a screen full of "fuzz" (if that makes sense) I try to save through the game, but after switching off the NDS, the save is lost even though it has created the two extra files .0 and .is0 So...million dollar question: Is there a way to actually save the game successfully? I've read posts regarding using RTS but that does not work for me, i also read a post stating there is a work around using the RTS and saving in game but i can't find the actual method how to do this. Its really bugging me this, and i don't know why. I guess i just need to know how to save games...lol Thanks in advance all
the RTS and in-game save workaround is in previous posts in this topic(I suggest you read this topic front to back just for a little catch-up and that there are a lot of little helpful bits) But an easy way is Download VBA and run the rom on that and move the save file off there onto the SD(if its a .sav just rename it to .0)
For some reason i still can't get the RTS to work The work-around methods don't work for me. No one esle has this problem? I'm not sure what esle i can do?
How do i get .rar apps to wok on my m3 real. I have been able to get all games and homebrew that end in .nds to work. But i dont know how to get BeUp.rar to work. i really want to use msn on my ds. please help!!!
a .rar file is the same as a .zip it is a zipped file using a prog called winrar winzip will unzip it ok
i was wondering if m3 real + rumble RAM pack can run opera nds browser? and which patcher would i use?? thank you.
For a short info. of what is following. -Yes the rumble-ram works with opera -Try out both opera and DSOrganise -Opera does not 'need' a ram pak at all -You don't need a patcher the M3R will take care of it. Well the rumble-pak can run the opera browser, I strongly reccomend the gba expansion pak and rumble pak, because then you can play GBA games and the gba ram pak has a much larger ram anyway. If you don't want to play gba games then get the rumble ram as it WILL run opera. There is no patching needed... the M3Real auto patches ALL official games and/or programs made by home programmers. There is however a patch that allows opera browser to run without the ram pak it is slower but it works. Another quick mention is that you need the NDS lite to use the expansion paks( you probably knew that and have one I'm saying this just incase) or you can replace the case on the expansion paks by switching the case with an official GBA game(this take a triple head screwdriver however and they aren't common to have in a house). One last note is that in my personal opinion the opera browser is a bit S*** but thats my opinion I think its too slow and it does not have Javascript meaning it does not allow videos, mostly youtube doesn't work this is how I found it lacks the java( I think it's java i'm not that hot on java's and realplayers). I don't use it. I suggest that you try it and if you also think it is too slow then get DSOrganise(its a program for DS by dragonminded i think was the name) DSOrganise is a great tool and it has so many functions other than a browser. The browser is very simple and needs no ram and is therefore much faster it can also be used as a file browser and PDA. The opera patch to allow use without an expansion pak is here along with DSOrganise. http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html(its the DS browser patcher tool, scroll down a bit till you see it)
but when i tried to use the opera browser with m3real w/ rumble ram.. it tells me to insert a memory expansion... what do i need to do?
Use the patch shown above in that case. http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html Use the dsbrowser patcher tool on it and it should run.
hey, i have downloded games and system folder onto the card and it works fine opening the games folder and selecting the game. but when i press start , a loading bar runs along the bottom ofthe screen and then nothing happens. can any1 help please?
Disable all options -soft-reset -cheat switch -slo-mo -slo speed setting all of them left at the default (off,off,off,speed1) and press Y instead of start.
Hi, I have followed the install method above, but i cannot play games, the screen goes black and says DLDI Compatible and loading in the bottom of the screen, Then thats it it sticks, does anyone have a fix for this Cheers
uhm..im kinda new here and i dunno if this question has been answered already..... i can't put skins on my m3 real i tried putting it on the system folder together with the other skins but it doesnt work i tried putting it together with the pdads but doesn't work either... i wonder how should i get it activated??? thanks if anyone can answer this!
For skins there must be four seperate folders in the System folder these are called skin1, skin2, skin3 and skin 4 each with their own skin files inside. Whilst using your M3Real in your DS go into settings, skin, skin* (* being any number from one to four depending on the skin you want at the time). If you do that and the M3Real crashes I suggest making a two pixel black border around the entire top_desktop, It worked for me but credit goes to blackened_dove moderator of the M3Real forums over at ndsthemes.com.
I wondering if it is possible to change the order in which the games are displayed in the list. We have over 100 games on a 4gb card and it is a pain to have to scroll through loads to find our favs.. Cheers Jon
solution onelace all games onto the PC delete them off the M3Real and then put them back on in the order of most liked first to least liked, This is the order it will be shown as the M3R displays in the order of date added. WARNING: Do not delete .0 files as these are the saves and do ot need to be deleted! only .NDS files. solution two: place the most commonly used games in a folder call 'favorites' and place less used games in a folder called 'games' then whilst browsing roms(list of games) in the M3R menu press 'start' this will open a menu from which it allows you to change where the M3R displays games from(this lasts until you change it back again) select 'favorites' or 'games' depending on which ones you wish to play but leaving it on favorites most of the time will save time. Note that the folders can be called anything favorite was just an example, whilst giving a directory the M3R will allow you to choose any folder unless it has a sub-folder WARNING: Do not place a folder in the same folder containing games, If there is no folder the M3R will accept it as the new directory but if it has a folder inside the M3R will display that folder and if you choose it as the directory it will not show the games. Solution three: whilst in the rom menu either press select twice or tap 'name' twice(Name is located above the column of rom names and has a small arrow next to it, it is also followed by 'size' both of these can be 'touched' in order to sort by name or size) this will sort you roms in alphabetical order if pressed twice , the reason to press twice is if pressed once it displays reverse alphabetical order. And a all round hint, use L an R buttons to browse menus four roms at a time. hope I helped.
I'm curious is this new firmware from the manufacturer or is it homebrew fw? I'm getting my M3 Real next week and am a bit confused about where to download system fw....m3adapter.com or at gbatemp.net as posted above. Any adivce? I wasn't sure if the main guide was obe on download links. Also, I actually got the M3 real from dealextreme (waiting) but the GBA exp. pack and a triwing driver from realhotstuff-long story (it showed up in a day, wow! kudos to them I was impressed and surprised as I didn't pay for overnight). I was able to mod the gba exp pack into an old GBA cartridge and the fat DS recognizes it. it was a tough fit since the gba pack board is thicker than a normal board. I had to cut some plastic off the top part of the old cartridge to get it to fit. The fit in the DS is tight as well so I'll need to remove it with care. and make it normal again once I splurge on the new DS sometime this year..... Not sure I need gba support but wanted the option.....
hey i have recently bought a m3 real and its been constantly having problems. First problem is that when i load the m3 it stays in the black screen and logo on the bottom right hand corner. And if i manage to open up a game i can only play for about 5 min before it freezes. I tried reformating from FAT to FAT32 but that didnt help anything. PLZ respond asap and give me advices on what im suppose to do PLZ and TY!
hi im super new to the m3 ds real and i have a couple of questions. I figured out how to play ds roms on it by unzipping the file and putting the file with .nds in a file named NDS in the systems folder. Im not super computer literate so yeah...anyway first is there an easier way to put em on or do i always have to unzip the file and my MAIN QUESTION is how do i play NES roms on my m3...thanks alot!
i tried that.... but nothing happened though.... is their any other way to put skins on the m3 real?? or a way to activate it?
