No sorry but an EXE has a total different way of working from an NDS but I'm sure there are some somewhere, I'm going to take a look but I suggest you search google for simething like 'NDS EMULATOR HOMEBREW'

koenville: The default cheat file is a .db extension, the cheat code combiner tool basically puts the codes from the .xml into this and the M3Real will let you use the cheats as default.

    http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html
download the M3 Cheat Code Combiner V1.21Beta (22-10-2007)

I personally have not tried this but I have heard no problems, and if this doesn't work then it is probably because the codes you use are wrong or some other external factor.

    Thank you for this guide,

There is no SYSTEM file in the .ZIP file downloaded from the
M3 site. Did you mean that I should create a folder called system and put all the files from the .zip inside of it?

I guess I will try that next.

    Hi folks, I'm theADDict removed
To put it as simply as possible, this is how to get going with your M3 REAL and GBA slot 2 pack.

-format your micro sd to FAT.
-unzip the latest firmware ( SYSTEM folder) onto the micro sd
-create folder alongside called NDS, and unzip NDS 'software' in there.
-create a third folder named GBA and unzip/drop your gba files in there.
-safely eject the micro sd from ya pc and away you go !!

    thanks
but my only other question is how to get movies on there
    and what about other roms
    like snes
do i have to have the gba expansion to play those
or do i just put the emulator im using on the sd card along with rom files and just play them from there

I need help. I accidentally bought a Chinese m3ds real from dealextreme. Bye the time I noticed it was Chinese the m3 was 2 days from my house. So I thought there must be a way I could just download English firmware to it. So this last week I've been trying to find a way to change my firmware to English. I found two solutions, I could solder the insides which risks breaking my m3ds, and I have no soldering skills. The other is to use a patch to change .eng to .gb. Alright I use this patch, change the .eng files to .gb. The problem I had was that the menu.eng file is needed to pick English on the menu screen , and if it's .gb it won't work. If it's .eng is just crashes. So I thought the Chinese m3ds i compatible with .kor , and .tha same as the English one. So I could just rename my English .menu as .kor. Nope it doesn't work. It just freezes after I choose the Korean , but when I'm using the actual Korean file it doesn't freeze. Btw if I boot it up without the .menu it works fine in English, but I can't access half of my things including my games. So I'm thinking of finding a way to get rid of the language choice screen in the beginning. That is the only thing I could think of. Do you guys have any idea on how I could make my M3DS REAL Chinese, English. I came here , because I could not receive help from other forums, not even the creator of the patch could help me. You guys seem to know alot about it, and seem to be active in this forum, so please help.

alright. so i dont know about you guys but i have been looking for a way to dump roms, you can do it with a slot-2 cart such as the m3 perfect, but it requires you to flash your ds. i found something on cyclods' forumns that works with their slot-1 cart, and im going to check and see if it works with the real as well.

    link

    here's the original text

"5. How to make your own ROM Dumps with a CycloDS Evolution

General Troubleshooting: How to dump your game cartridges into ROM files with a CycloDS Evolution

The easiest method if you have a CycloDS Evolution is to use a particular NDS homebrew program. The NDS homebrew program mentioned can be found on the internet called "Rudolph's NDS Backup Tool" and can come in 3 variations:
    - WiFi version, which you can use to transfer your Game Cartridge's ROM to your PC through a WiFi connection.
    - Slot-2 version, which you can use to transfer your Game Cartridge's ROM to your Slot-2 Flash Cart IF IT USES EXPANDABLE MEMORY. You must patch the homebrew with the DLDI of your Slot-2 flash Cart to use it.
    - EZ-Flash 3-in-1 version, which you can use to transfer your Game Cartridge's ROM to the NOR Memory on the EZ-Flash 3-in-1 (up to 32MB) and retrieve it to the CycloDS Evolution's MicroSD.

On top of transfering ROMs of your Game Cartridges, you can transfer the save files of your Game Cartridges through one of the above methods, AND import your own save file, from using your CycloDS Evolution to play the ROM for example.
The CycloDS Evolution uses a clean, generic 512KB save file, meaning a CycloDS Evolution save file will work on any DS cartidge, and can be easily transferred to another flash cart if you wish."

i reply asap with my findings

@the ADDict So does that fix the save error where you turn it back on and it hasn't saved because any idiot figured out that you make NDS or GBA folder with the games in and you SHOULD all know that you can change which folder it looks in because I made a post on how to do it... anyway all that you said was the new firmware fixes save errors right??
@Patbrown You need to download Moonshell09 and use that converter for dpg ask me if you need a link. also yes you need the gba expansion for snes, nes etc. and no the NDS games run from the SD and are not pre-loaded unless you mean on there when you get the M3Real, in which case no... you need to buy a micro SD which will have no games on it.

Is this mod permanent? If I pull the card out will it go back to normal? I found a mod were it uses PassCard, and it Bypasses the firmware in the DS to a custom firmware able to play roms, emus, and movies.
