unzipping is extracting all... just different way of saying it. so unzip it and then use the dpgenc and it should work. Later on ill host a small file that I know works with thr encoder.

Many thanks for sticking with me on this, I think I have now cracked it with your most kind help.

Another question. Is there a way of downlading wii games anywhere yet?

    Have a good day.

    Regards
    Mark

    I do hope I helped.
For wii games there is warez-bb who host on rapidshare but that can take a long time and needs you to keep clicking a link(once every hour and half or so) there is also blackkatz.org but thats invitation only and im not a member. there is another but i cannot find the link at the moment but i will post soon.

Would like some help with the usage of Action Replay codes...

I'm guessing I'm missing some important detail in the tutorial, because my Action Replay Code Manager won't save my games and codes. At all. It also won't connect to Codejunkies like the first post states, or create a "CustomCodelist.xml"-ish file thinger...

Could this be because I have yet to figure out how to update the MicroSD's firmware? Or where to find said update?

    Help please? >:

firmware is found at linfox domain... just google linfox domain DS.
copy and paste the SYSTEM folder onto your SD card (I will forever assume it to be I:/) and replace the current SYSTEM.
I believe your problem with the AR code manager is not an M3real issue but a datel one because the AR software is blocked by some firewalls... disable your firewall or allow the program through your firewall and tell me how it goes ;)

Okay, have downloaded the latest version for M3 Simply now, or should I actually download the Real? And, silly question, but the one I downloaded contains a "_system_" folder and not a "SYSTEM" one. Also _system_ contains MUCH less files than my current SYSTEM. Any dangers with this?

the system is the wrong one you need to download the G6M3Real system folder and it is near the top left of the links.

Okay, one of my friends set up a usrcheat.dat file for me, and only some of the cheats on it works. They all appear in the M3 list, but not all of them activate as should...

Also, I tried mending that problem by adding and/or replacing codes in the Cheat Code Editor, however, these changes doesn't at all appear in the M3 menu. The list is still the same as the first file my friend sent me, even though in the Cheat Code Editor, codes are added and replaced. Meaning codes that shouldn't even be on the file still appear in the M3 list.

Anything that comes to mind? >:

ok go on the M3 go into NDS, pick a game then above soft-reset and cheat file(on off switch on) there should be a bit of text saying select file... tap it with a stylus and then pick out the .dat file you edited. Some cheats for some games only work for USA, EUR, JAP games etc. so make sure yours are for your version/

The .DAT file doesn't appear in my SYSTEM folder at all when going by that method, however the cheats are already in the cheat list when I start my M3. What puzzles me is that cheats that appear in that list doesn't even exist when I open the .DAT file with the Editor.

Uuurgh, I feel a headache coming on... x_X

google handheldsources DS and download the cheatcodecombiner, merge the .dat and the .db file (the .db file is the M3reals default cheat list) into one .db file and keep the original name. then use the m3real to pick this file using the select file... method

Urgh, I really hate to be this helpless, but... the combiner only wants to open .xml or .db files. It doesn't acknowledge the .dat file's existence at all. x_x

Ok if I were you my first idea would be to rename you .dat file to .db but I doubt it will work. Make sure the extension(.dat) is visible when you rename it and just change the .dat to .db.

I converted the .dat to .db, combined usrcheat and CHEAT into a new usrcheat.db, but no difference. The list is still the same and the cheats I want won't work. I'm starting to wonder if Action Replay hates me. x'D

If you convert it back to .dat and open both the .db and .dat is it in an understandable coding? the .xml is easy to change in notepad as it is a simple <game>***</game><gameid>23AS</gameid><cheat><name>good cheat</name><code>3874917107432979407328979549752897529870548920</code></cheat></game>

Well is there anywhere to download these cheats but into a way that can be converted into .db or .xml? I was sure that the M3real understood .dat.

Well, I guess it understands it... "automatically". ^^' Only it won't understand the changes I'm making to it. :/

Somehow I'm wondering if this problem could be mended by fixing my Action Replay Code Manager problem and doing the whole thing from scratch, though I'm not sure how to do that. The ARCM refuses to save my code codelists no matter what I do... <_<''

The Action Replay Code Manager is still only bitching about the fact that I don't have an actual DS connected to it...

Also, I tried everything to replace that cheatlist I got from my friend. I even deleted the entire SYSTEM folder and added a new one in (same version), meaning the M3 wants me to select language when I start it. Rebooted M3? Not if you ask the cheats - They're still there! I'm starting to feel haunted... o_O
