Well, When you update M3Real you move a 'system' folder over, Well if you download a certain 'system' folder aka sakura the entire card is improved vastly. There is no nds, gba folder or media extend but a much easier to use system, built in movie player for dpg files (you still need to download the movie converter). Search google for M3Sakura english translation.
I've been using the firmware version 4.0 for about a week now and I've been really happy about the new Real Time Save feature. I tested it playing Little League World Series and I was able to pitch a complete game striking out all 18 batters that I faced. I simply saved the game after each batter and if I didn't get a strikeout, then I'd reload the game to face the batter again. Obviously, this doesn't make the game as enjoyable, but it was a good testing experience to check the reliability of the RTS feature. I've tested it in a few other games as well. Has anyone else tested the RTS feature in version 4.0? If so, have you ran across any problems with it?
Thanks for the info. I went and downloaded and installed sakura v112 and it has a much nicer user interface but it doesn't work right. It tries to load moonshell but keeps getting stuck in the load screen and when I tried to use the picture viewer it somehow ended up wiping the card clean of everything which I didn't know could happen. Anyone know whats going on?
Can't say I've ever heard of that happening. Load the latest backup of your card. Moonshell doesn't work because it is the japanese moonshell, Format the card to Fat32, view pictures and movies etc. Using the Sakura browser, Dont bother with Moonshell.
Never mind I figured out my moonshell problem was I forgot to put moonshell into the system folder. God I am retarded.
I reread the posts and saw you mentioning the sakura browser and did a search on how to use it but can't figure it out. Is the browser the thing that immediately comes up when I turn on the m3 or what? Sorry I am so helpless. I would say I know what Im doing half way but it's more like 1/8 way. I googled the browser and couldn't find an instruction manual. Also I keep hearing about using it for getting online... is that true and if so what do I need to do? Yes it's what runs when you turn on the DS, Instead of seeing NDS,GBA,Mycard etc. You will be met with a totally different look. Go to gbatemp.com and download a M3Sakura translation, Then just copy the System folder onto the card and it should be easy from there.
Noob here-- Just got a M3 real and have everything running using the standard loader. If I'm just using this for .nds files and nothing else, is there any compelling reason I should switch to Sakura? Also, does anyone feel like explaining how the cheat options work? For example, there's a cheat switch drop-down selector for each game, then for some games there's another tab with different individual cheats you can turn on. Do these work together? How? I'm basically a total DS noob so I didn't even know cheats were even possible. Thanks!
Sakura runs faster, Looks better and allows you to set your own backgrounds using almost any image on the card. The skins are a single file and you can store more than four on the card. You don't need confusing directories to use roms (D\nds or D\gba) You can run roms from anywhere on the card. You probably haven't used pictures, movies or music but you can use .mp3s most pictures and convert most movies into .dpg with a free converter and the ds will play it, The Movie, music picture viewer on the M3Real is slow and crashes a lot but by switching to Sakura you can run movies music and pictures in the main sakura menu and it's more reliable and easier on the eyes. Oh and it might be worth mentioning that the M3Real also shows .txt files (notepad or wordpad files so you can read books) which once again runs better in Sakura. Sakura displays roms in alphabetical order, M3Real displays in the date added format which is more disorderly and shows the 5 most recent used roms and can be set to display 5 permanent links to roms which you use most. ( in order to do that though you need to go to D:\System\launch or a similar directory and replace the roms there)
Some of the films I am trying to convert to .dpg crash at the terminate bit, most frustrating as you have sat through the longest bit. Do you think this is a problem with moonshell, the film or my computer.
Well, Its a problem with the converter, It crashes with (in my own experience) long films and certain formats, Try splitting the film or converting it to a different format first.
unacquain, thanks for the infoz on Sakura. Would Sakura be able to read the save game files that have been created by the default loader?
I think M3Real loader everything before 3.7d was a .0, .1 or a .2 file, Sakura won't read those. Everything after 3.7d is a .sav file and Sakura reads .sav files. Sakuras saves are .sav. If you have save files that are .dat,.0,.1,.2 etc. just rename it to 'Same name as rom'.sav. If you cannot see the .dat or .o at the end of a save file go into control panel, folder options, Hide extensions for known file types, disable then all of your files will change to .whatever. I like to consider myself a genious with the M3Real but I do have a stupidly large ego.

I downloaded the english version from the M3Real site but it was a corrupted file when I ran the extractor' Then I might say 'Go to www.linfoxdomain.com because he has the latest version of M3Real firmware in all languages, He also includes a backcatalogue of all the previous firmwares, However I will tell you like I tell everybody here, Atleast try M3Sakura instead of the 'official' firmware. Based on your original message, I am inclined not to help.

HI, here i am again.. =) sorry!! i just can't seen to be able to get the M3 real running in English language. I have downloaded M3G6_DS_Real_v4.0_E32_EuropeUSAMulti,G6DS-V2.3 are these the file i nd to get the system running in english?? I format my TF card and copy both file that i had downloaded into my sd card but was met with no system file found! Put system file in.. with top showing language : Chinese.. What the system file that im missing?? If i use back the old loader then add in the 2 new system file, i was able to boot up the M3 but it still in Chinese.. Help is appreciated!!
