I plan to buy a M3 Real, just saw sombody metioned about fake card, how I avoid buying a fake card, any trick?

which sites have the good reputation? is thedsdeals.com a good site? or gogods.net?

another question is about acecard2, it is really new, is it better than m3 real like it claimed??

Go to www.m3adapter.com and click on global sell net links on the country for which you reside. It will then list different resellers.

Personally I've purchased from www.realhotstuff.com and http://www.divineo.com/ and both had the real M3 ds real.

I have picked up 8 carts from www.kickgaming.com -- and I'm impressed with their service.

    I can empathize with fhotbaby,

Looking at the problems of fake card, and the reports of the poor reliability of the M3. It's fairly scary. I really hope mine works and lasts a decent time.

Realiability with the M3 is not a big issue, but the fakes are a real problem, if you get one make sure you return it, loads of people are saying Oh never mind its working now then asking what the M3 can do.

If you have a fake, you have either a DSTT or an R4 with an M3 sticker on it, you should pay no more than $10 for them (if you are offered a part refund) and they have none of the M3 features.

ALWAYS download the software from a site you know will give you the genuine software, preferably one that lists all the software for all the cards, do not rely on the box to tell you where to get it from.

I'm planning on using sakura on my M3.

They shipped it the 26th and it seems like it's taking forever to get here, but it's being shipped from HK. So i can't expect much. I can only hope the card is real.

    I just purchased M3DS Real.

There was no software cd into the box so I downloaded the software indicated in this thread.

I copied "SYSTEM" folder into mini-sd card.

When I boot the M3 with mini-sd a red card with a question mark appears in top screen saying "MENU ?"

    and nothing loads up.

    How can I do ?

Thanks for help and best regards.

You should have 2 folders on the sd card system and NDS, they must be named exactly like this for the unit to work. The DS roms should be in the NDS folder (up to 128) you can create other folders, but the NDS one must always be there.

If you have done this and it still does not work then - - -

I would suggest it could be a fake (there are a few around now), on the box the site should be listed as www.M3adapter.com, if it is adaptes or anything else like that then it is a fake. Return it, if they offer a part refund remember it is a piece of **** so don't pay more than $9 for it

i have a m3ds real card but to put just one game on it (to move a game onto my NDS folder on it) takes 5 minutes?! and the game is only like 100000kb even the small ones 65000kb take a long time. i tried formatting it with the sd formatter but it still takes a long time and its not the card reader since im using my printers slot and its been doing this since i got it.Even with the flash reader it took that long. i just found out yesterday that its not supposed to take that long ^^; anyone know how to fix it? *_*

use SDFormater to format the card, Uninstall and Reinstall the printer drivers or don't use an MicroSD to SD adapter just order a MicroSD reader/writer.

What if the M3 DS Real card says www.GBalpha.com instead of www.m3adapter.com?

This may sound a stupid question but here goes whats the difference between a microSD cards and microSDHC cards obviously, how much data the SDHC card can hold but is the SDHC better to use with the ME Real?

Sd cards and SDHC cards are the same to look at, however the SD cards can only go up to 4gb (2 is the maximum you can easily buy) then there is a sifferent addressing system to allow the cards to go higher, 16GB is the maximum at the moment but 32GB is being talked about for the middle of next year. M3 can take either card but it depends how many roms you wish to store

SDHC means Secure Digigital HIGH CAPACITY.

the difference is that SDHC can hold more data than standard SD Cards, but you need to make sure the device your using it for supports SDHC.

I dont know what the ME Real is, but the M3 DS Real support SDHC.

SDHC is just the newest revision.

If you want over a 2GB then you need to go with SDHC, i think there potential capacity is 2TB but its official capacity is set at 32GB. I think you can currently buy these card in 4,8 and 16GB flavours, maybe even 32 but they will be very expensive.

    hope this answers your question.

hi i fought all you had to do was this.

    1) Buy a DS flashcart (M3, Cyclo, exc) and a microSD card
    2) Download roms
    3) Put the roms onto the microSD
    4) Put the microSD into the flashcart
    5) Play the games on the flashcart with your DS. Normal or lite, both will work and you dont need to do anything to the firmware like you do with the PSP. Just pop the flashcart in and play.

i mean do i have to put anything else on the SD Micro card? what bout the systems file?

you need to put your choice of Boot Loader on the SD card also, which ever you choose it usually needs to go into a folder called 'SYSTEM'
and most boot loaders rrequire you to put your Roms in a folder called 'NDS'.
