I was thinking of that, but I have no idea how/where to find out what gets changed in the patch. Hmm, hopefully I'll figure something out.

I don't remember any rules on posting links to other sites so. Admin please erase if necessary. I don't believe there are any illegal files on the linked webpage.

That being said this link on gbatemp has tools for unpacking and repacking a rom. Sounds like most patchers patch the ARM 7 file of a rom. So you could try replacing your current game's ARM 7 with the orginal Arm 7 and pray when you repack it that the m3 patcher didn't change anything else. Sorry I didn't reply sooner but I've been sick and am finally feeling a little better

thorough reviews, thanks for the info Hanky.

I'm looking for some advice as I've just purchased a DS lite.

I can't decide what product to purchase- DS ONE, MS SIMPLY or REAL, SUPERCARD of some kind, R4? Which is the most up to date/ newest item?

How do they compare to each other? Is there another product that beats 'em all?

Personally I like my M3 DS Real Perfect pack with GBA expansion :) But then I got a DSI and it didn't work :( So I use a acekard 2i and it seems to freeze every now and again. I don't get why either? It is the same micro sd card that doesn't freeze when used in the m3 ds real. It just had a card update for my version of the hardware. I have put it on but have not tested whether or not the update has fixed the freezing. Been playing my wii lately.

It really just depends on what you want though. People have had issues with lots of different cards including the m3 ds real, just check out this entire thread. But it is not to say you won't have issues with another card such as I have. M3 seems to do a good job making sure to have updates for its main firmware, not so much for sakura though.

Very well - must admit I do not play the worst offenders (castlevania) but I have noticed no slow down issues with anything else (I use Sandisc as its speed is very impressive for a class 2)

Well I have 2 M3 Reals both running with 16GB cards and have experienced no issues at all with the SD.

I did get freezing issues with Sakura but that was the M3 card - now using a paper shim and have no issues at all.

I own a M3 DS Real for my Nintendo DS. I have two problems, but I'm really getting frustrated over my first problem.
So my first problem is that I want to put videos onto my m3 ds real, but I can't find a freaking video converter. I've tried three already, but they don't have a conversion to dsm, and it says that only dsm videos work for the M3 DS Real. Can anyone help me with this? By sending me a link to a converter?
My second problem is that after I downloaded this game called Final Fantasy Chocobo Tales, it was on the last page of my games list, and now whenever I go to the last page of the games list, it always freezes.

M3 real will play dsm OR dpg, Super converts to DPG

With games, No more than 128 games in each folder, but you can make more folders

Do not fill the card - leave at least 1MB per game free space to allow the card to make a save & opt file

Try using the latest firmware Sakura 1.34 - it is far better for browsing through the games.

Just replace your system file with this one

M3 software (both Touchpod and sakura) have a modified version of Moonshell 2 included.

If you have never tried Sakura (its an alternative official software) its worth trying it

I have a problem that's really upsetting me, I transferred some GBA save data from my m3ds real to an emulator so I didn't have to wait for the m3 to boot up everytime I had to reset. Now when I was all done I tried putting the recent save data from the emulator back into the m3 and when i started it up it still loaded the old saved data. Now here's where I am really frustrated it seems no matter what i do it loads the old save data I've even deleted the game and all the files linked to it including the saved data and it still finds a way to load that save data and it completely ignores the new one. Does anyone know how to prevent that from happening and make it load the new saved data? The game is Megaman Battle Network if anyone needs that info.

The old save file must be there for it to see it.

The M3 will only see the .sav file, if it is named anything else - it wont work what are you naming the file as, is the emulator using the same file for the save and saving it as the same name?

Well I have figured out something, it seems that the emulator (Visual Boy Advance) saves the data as .sa1 (that's the number one)but I'm presented with another problem. Hopefully, someone can help me with it.
How do I get it to save it as a .sav, change it or make it usable on the m3 can anyone help with this one? much appreciated.

Also I've tried changing the .sa1 to .sav and for some reason it still loads the old data even tho its not on the card as stated above. I thought I had my problem close to being solved but maybe not. This is really confusing and frustrating I've made absolutely sure that the save and the game names are the same and the save data is the new one but it still loads the old one out of seemingly nowhere when its not even suppose to exist anymore.. -_-"

Alright so I went to the extreme and removed every single file from my GBA folder and had only the rom in it. So I started the game what did I see? It said continue and when I looked in the folder the old save data was back... Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this stupid save file so I can put the one from my emulator on there because this is extremely frustrating and no matter how many times i delete it it comes back. I have a feeling this might be the source of my problem.

Oh yeah and kitty I named the file as Megaman Battle Network.gba , Megaman Battle Network.sav and the emulator saves it as Megaman Battle Network.sa1 (the number one) and sorry for all the jumble haha that's pretty much been my day today.

The emulator saves in a different format.

There is a way of getting the emulators to save in different formats, you need to google to find out how, but I know it is possible, think I saw it on gbatemp.net
