I add folder = GBA in directory, then in system folder, neither will work. Anyone know the answer to my question.
"""" Im sorry if thsi is a dumb question, I know where to put NDS game, but where do i put GBA at? Do I need to creat a folder like NDS for example or ? and where will that folder go inside system folder or ? """""
    Thanks again poolpro for trying

Yeah, make a folder called GBA and put your gameboy advance games in there, just like the NDS games, same steps. Make sure you have the GBA pack that you stick in the slot-2 because if you don't then the games will not work. I have tested the GBA games and they worked for me.

hey guys, i'm pretty new on here, but i'm just curious if anyone's got beup to work on the m3 real card? i upgraded to the real from the simply. beup worked fine on my simply.

i'm running the newest beup as well as the newest firmware for the real... tried dldi patching in case that was it but no luck. any ideas?

ok - turns out it is actually the firmware, i downgraded to 2.7c from 2.7d and it works fine, on a clean 0.3e beup, no dldi patching required at all.

i tried that after reading through here again and someone mentioned the firmware might not be the best.

    thanks guys!

System v2.8 is now out, it should fix the break in homebrew support from 2.7d (Though I don't have my DS here to test)

Hey guys I need some serious help with my M3 DS REAL...I've got pretty much everything working. The only problem is homebrew apps. The main problem is moonshell. I have got it running and playing videos, music...but I really want to change the skin. The files in my moonshell have a folder called skins which has a different skin then wat shows up when i boot it up. My moonshell looks identical to the moonshell in the pics above. How would i go by changing the skins because ive tried putting the new skin files everywhere...PDADS also does not work and DSORGANISER and these kind of apps just dont show up when i double clik the ".nds" file...it just goes onto a black screen.

    no patching is needed right?

    any help would be appreciated!

    cheers!

m3 real is a bit slower than the r4 i'd prefer if it put the games in alphabetical order like the r4 as i think it's easier for kids to find the games.Regards nick

So far my M3 Real is running smoothly with a practically full 6GB microSDHC SanDisk. I believe I am using 2.7c firmware as it works fine and the need to upgrade has not presented itself.

I cannot confirm the speed comparison between the M3 Real and the R4...
If you are looking for SDHC compatibility for your NDS Roms, the M3 Real is the way to go as the R4 does not offer this feature at this time.

    Hi guys,

Quick bit of confirmation regarding the GBA side of this. So the cheat function DOES work with gab games?

    Thanks

I don't use Moonshell so have not looked into your problem with that, i don't have much spare time at the moment to try either i'm afraid. As for homebrew, make sure you are not using firmware 2.7d as homebrew support broke in this, any other firmware should load DSorganize and any other homebrew fine (Auto-patching is only done to files in the root of the microSD card.

You can arrange the games by tapping "Name" at he top of the screen, if you want the games to be sorted everytime without needing to tap name you can use a program called FATsort (google it) to sort the games.

Yes I have tested this (once) and it does work, but it does have some flaws (or it could just be how I used it). The GBA cheats don't use a single list of cheats for every game in a single file (like the DS cheats), but instead has a separate file for each GBA game, this on it's own not a huge problem, but I found if I put them all in the same folder the M3 would crash when I tried to access the folder, so you have to either split the cheat files into a few folders or only copy over the cheats for the games you want. Another problem is that the GBA cheat system does not detect the game your using, so you have to either rename the cheats files so you know what one to choose or know the scene release number for each game (which was a problem for me as I rename games to not have them)
HOWEVER after these problems the cheats I tried worked perfectly and were easy to use in-game.

umm, i dont really know much about the m3 ds real.
but, my friend bought one , & whenever she put it into the slot 1, the ds would turn off... she said that she put the system files into the micro sd, but she never formatted the micro sd..

& now her nintendo ds is.. dead.

    what happened to it?
i don't want to try it on my nds , because i dont want the same thing to happen.

hey mr. hanky one more question...

i have all my homebrews working perfectly. "colour" for example works fine and i can send the pics i make to my email adress via wifi!

one problem is beup the msn on ds. It starts up fine but always comes up with the message "can not connect". i then manually insert my ip adress and still nothing...wifi works on all my roms and homebrew files so i dont know why this is not working. any ideas?

    cheers

hey guys, thought i'd drop a few lines, been loving my real!!!

from what i can tell tyhe rumble ram pak will not work as a ram pack, just as a rumble pack(unless of course im using it wrong which is unlikely) so you will still need a gba expansion pack to use gba roms etc.

also ive been using snesds and nesds (either my current loader didnt come with the built in emus or they havent been released?) and they work fantasticlly- well snesds has a poor compatabillity right now though, and snezzids doesnt seem to work with the real atm- so needless to say nds gaming is quickly becoming a blast thanks to its huge homebrew. :)

    gj m3 team!

I don't have the rumble ram pak, but it does have ram (for Opera) the ram in the rumble ram pak is not meant for GBA games.

There are three different expansion paks for the M3, the Rumble Pak, the Rumble RAM Pak and the GBA Expansion.
    - The Rumble Pak is only for Rumble.
    - The Rumble RAM Pak has the Rumble feature and added RAM for the Nintendo DS Browser (Opera) form what i've read the Opera browser may need a patch to access the RAM on this.
    - The GBA Expansion is just for that, GBA games. It could be possible to use the memory on this for Opera, but I have not read up on this.

The built in emulators are GBA mode, so unless you have the GBA Expansion inserted they will not work.

ah, now i understand. actually i did some testing and got the rumble ram to work for balls of pengu (homebrew gba game based of the atari hit), so it must be a ram pak but witha very small amount of memory.
well at leat i can use my m3 perfect in place of the gba expansion.

how do you switch to gba mode? is it in the boot icon?

thanks for the input, your a great help as always mr. hanky
