    not all games will work in the emulator, doom could be one of the games that don't work (havn't checked).

    Why are you trying to play doom using a SNES emulator though? There is a homebrew Doom game.

    @yjusa

    the snes and nes emulators for ds are still basically in beta form, your lucky to get any games running in good condition (or even at all in some cases)

    i remember when i first tried to run smb3 on a nes emulator for ds and it run but the speed was so far off the game was unplayable

    however, there is a pc doom port to ds that should work on the simply (i have not tried it yet, when i get time i will check it out for you)

    i assume you will need to have the .wad file and need to dldi the doom.nds

    edit: there is a homesite for it http://dsdoom.devkitpro.org/
    looks like you will need a number of files from the original doom pc game *** sorry i read closer, it will only need the wad from the game

    Thx...
    Doom games is only games at the moment I can't figure it out how to work with M3 DS simply. I can not seem to DSdoom.nds to load doom.wad file. The DLDI is not patching Dsdoom.nds,also. Beside I hear DSdoom.nds is not playing music. So I am waiting for new update news.

    Anyway, with SNEmulDS, I am playing Street fighter II, Mortal Kombat, Dragon Ball Z and Super Mario world.

    P.S. Use good speed micro memeory card. I tried low speed rated micro sd, it is freezing up or having loading issues. Faster speed micro SD always works with any DS games,& emulations.

    I've had Doom working fine on my DS, I used the m3commander software to download and install it. You can get files you need to install the shareware game from this link without using m3commander-
    http://www.moddz.com/r4m3commander/HBGPACKS/dsDoom.v1.10.R4C.UPK.zip
    I think all files have to be in the root of the card to work.

    I have used several types, including a lower priced SanDisk card and never had any problems !

    Got a bit of a problem!! I downloaded the Pokemon pearl ROM after purchasing it, but whilst playing, it randomly freezes!!!And I mean randomly! I havn't been able to get through the first 5 mins of the game, it's that bad!!

    All of the other roms I have work fine! New super mario bros has frozen once, but that was a freak incident!

    I'm using Toshiba 1gb card with the M£ ds simply!

    Any help would be great!

    Sorry about the double post!

    Just thought I'd mention that I'm using the FAT32 system if that changes anything!

    OMG... It is good working,, WOW..Doom...You know what time it is. Time to play long awaited on DSdoom.... THX...

    I down loaded it and patched with DLDI..done I'm enjoying it. Before on my own, I’d must be downloaded Bad WAD files.

    And here is my replay to Pokemon random freezing issues.
    Since you tried new SD cards, then your problem may associated with BAD rom. Any idea, others?

    I havnt tried a new SD card as of yet, but it seems strange how all other roms work fine!

    I tried Pokemon diamond from the same download site, and it worked for around 40 mins, before freezing, then wouldnt stop freezing after that!!

    Is there any chance of it being when I've used the M3 for too long?

    And also, if someone could supply me with a link to a clean dump of pokemon pearl, it would be much appreciated!!

    Thanks

    Since the release of the DLDI compatible Doom it has worked with the M3DSS.

    There is an applictaion called DSftp (or similar) which is meant to do that, however I havn't been following the project so do not know how complete it is.

    Newbie to M3 Simply. Mr_hanky, first of all thanks for your guide. It helped greatly!

    Everything plays fine except when it comes to saving games or loading a save.

    Is M3 simply like the famous SNES emulator for PC in the sense that you can save whenever/wherever, or will M3 simply save your game when prompted by the software?

    I'm kinda lost on this whole saving issue? I saw on the menu the .bak and .sav and when I load them, nothing happened (I expected the game up to my save point to load up).

    Any help is welcome!

    @finkel98
    The M3 only saves when you save in-game (as though it is an original game) savestates are not supported. The .sav is linked to the .nds game, so when you load the .nds game it loads your save file from the .sav, the .bak file I assume is a backup file and do not know why it is there.

    @darkest15
    no, i don't know why everyone is scared of an ancinet virus all of a sudden, but you more likly to download an very small file containing it rather than a very large file. DS games currently go up to 128MB in size.
