You have to convert the videos into .dpg format, there should be a converter on the CD, or you can download BatchDPG (google it)

Cannot right now as I am just about to go to bed (2am here) and I would have to install everything to check what i'm typing is correct, but maybe someone else could for me, or you could have a looks on google.

If no-one has by the time i'm awake i'll do a quick step-by-step.

I have been out of the loop for a couple of months now since I have busy with university classes. I try to provide the latest official firmware and Moonshell (modified by the M3 team for working soft reset).

If anyone knows of a Moonshell 1.71 build with a working soft reset for the M3 DS Simply, please do share. I would be more than willing distribute an "official" system package (1.05 w/ mshl 1.6) and an "unofficial" system package (1.05 w/ mshl 1.71).

    hey
I got some wierd stuff apenning with my ds simply and my ds lite nobody around me understand and you might be my last chance before i change my ds.
yesterday i received my m3 ds simply and i installed everything perfectly but when i open my ds it brings me to my original ds menu... so i tried on my friend's ds lite if it could be the m3 simply that had a problem and it loaded like it should with the loading thing and the m3 menu and loaded game and my mp3 perfectly but my ds runs all the original ds games i could try so its not the slot 1 the problem (i think).
i bought my ds used so i don't know if the problem could be something that the other guy did or if its just an anormaly... If someone has any idea on how to arrange this i'm ready to listen.
p.s. sorry for my bad english i'm not too used to write like that

Okay - PLEASE somebody help me with my M3 Simply. I recieved it last night when I got home at 12am from work, and thought I'd try it out. I spent literally until 4am trying to just get it to boot up on my DS (regular, not Lite)!! :\ I will admit I'm a complete dumbass when it comes to anything technical, so feel free to laugh in my face - just PLEASE help me out. Here's what I've done countless times:

I bought the M3 Simply, and I have a 1GB Kingston MicroSD card. I have formatted the MicroSD to regular FAT (not 32). Somebody, step-by-step (like baby steps, seriously), tell me what to do next?

What goes in the root of my MicroSd card? As of this very moment I have the following: [IMG]

But I have also tried various different combinations of things in the root of my MicroSD card (obviously, since I worked on it for 4 hours straight). And as you can see, I even downloaded some "flashme" thing, and put it in the root of the card. I don't even know what that is, or why I'd need it, since on the back of the M3 Simply it says "built-in Passme".

I HAVE gone to the site and downloaded the "M3_DS_Simply_System_v1.05_English". And I've also tried putting all of the contents on my card.

The bottom line is that whenever I turn on my DS, nothing at all happens. As if there's not game in slot 1. the M3 Simply (with the MicroSd inside it) does no boot-up of anything, whatsoever, in my personal case.

It amazed me that no one else had this problem - that everyone else's problems have to do with things AFTER boot-up. And I feel dumber and dumber every minute, not being able to get mine to even BOOT up. :(

    Step-1:
Delete FlashMe, you don't need it.

    Step-2:
Contact the retailer and have the M3 replaced, sounds like it's busted. (even with no microSD inserted the M3 should at least try to boot)

    Step-3:
Insert the MicroSD in your new M3 (the files you already have on it are correct)

Holy crap thank you so much. So I'm not as big of a dumbass as I thought.

I bought it from an online site - consolesource.com or something.
So the files I have on it are correct, with the exception of the flashme. When I get a new M3 Simply, those are the files I'll need.

i downloaded a bunch of games and put them onto my micro SD card a few weeks ago. but i wanted to save some space so i just took all the games off the card and trimmed them (i left the save files in there) but after i transfered the trimmed roms onto the card and tried to play a game a message popped up saying there was no save file detected??? im really worried. i dont want to start over in all of my games. Please help me!

Attempt 2 at replying (afterdawn error? "Failed to connect to BlueDragon; check the status of the Java process.")

Anyhows. The problem is probably becuase when you trim a rom the trimming program renames the rom, for the save file to be recognised it has to be the same name as the rom (eg 'game.nds' needs the save to be called 'game.sav')

    hello.

i have only just bought a nintendo ds lite and a friend recommended the m3 ds simply in order to back up games that i've bought.i don't really plan to use it for movies or mp3s at the moment. but i am an absolute novice.

i have looked through most of the replies on this thread, but get a bit confused with the language, so any baby explanations would be greatly appreciated.

firstly i am on a macintosh. my m3 simply arrived this morning and it came with a disk that said compatible with windows - nothing about mac.

i haven't had time to try the cd just incase, but i presume it won't work.

therefore i need some help with the following:

    1) When i plug my microsd into my mac, how do i format it correctly? I've never formatted a memory card before.

2)what do i need to put onto the card to make it work right?
for example, do i simply need to create a 'games' folder and store all the games on that? or is there a specific file that needs to go onto the card aswell.

3)where can i download the nds games from? and then, which files do i put on the card and can i rename them for ease?

i really appreciate you reading this and thank you for any help you could give. If these have already been answered i'm sorry, but i couldn't figure out the language!

    thanks again!

    1. I'm not a Mac user (would like to be, but cannot afford to be) so don't know how you would go about formatting on a Mac, your MicroSD should by default be 'FAT' which is fine as it will work.

    2. Go here and download the 1.05 firmware, open the zip file and everything in this you should now copy directly onto your MicroSD, these are all the firmware files and Moonshell (Media system). You do not need to create any folders unless you want to (I have a folder named "Games" but you don't need it for roms to work)

    3. There are a few threads on this forum saying where you can download games from, you put '.nds' files on the card, you can rename them to anything you like providing you leave the file extension intact (the .nds)
