Yes, the M3 has a file browser so you just navigate to the folder with the games in.

Does your 1.5 when unzipped contain a folder called "English", if so this when opened contains the following:
    _system_ (folder)
    _DS_MENU.DAT (file)
copy both of these to your SD card

If you donwloaded the 1.05 from the link in my guide all you have to do is copy everything in the zip onto your MicroSD card.

As a note for the Mac users here, you can format your MicroSD card using Disk Utility (found in /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility). Simply select your card in the list on the left, choose the 'Erase' tab and then select 'MS-DOS Filesystem' from the drop-down menu. This will format the sd card into FAT32. Note, you may also see an 'MS-DOS Filesystem (FAT 16)' option in the drop-down if your card is already formatted that way.

That said, I have a Mac question of my own, in case there's someone here who can answer it. Is there a Mac alternative to the 'pictods.exe' program that comes with ComicBookDS? Or if not, is there a way I can get around it and view some comics on my M3 Simply? I have a comic that is already in .cbr format, so perhaps I just need a correctly written .ini file?

I have a more general M3 Simply question also. Is there any way to hide a directory from showing when in the 'Games' view of the built-in M3 Simply file browser? My reason for asking is that I find the more homebrew I add to my card, the more of a mess the root directory becomes, meaning my nicely organised 'Apps', 'Games' and 'eBooks' directories get a bit lost in the list.

Edit: Alternatively, is there a way to have the 'Games' button on the main M3 Simply menu take me directly to a directory other than the root one?

To hide folders from the M3 browser just connect the MicroSD into your computer and hide them in your file explorer (in Windows right click the folder, choose Properties and select the Hidden check box).

I don't think there is anyway (yet) to go to another folder by default (though it could be included in a future update)

im not exactly sure what you want to do so here is a suggestion:

for any folders you want hidden- in windows right click the folder and select "properties" and check the box "hidden" (note that this will make the folder hidden in windows unless you have your folder options set to veiw hidden files and folders)

then when you go into the games menu (left icon) push select. select will toggle between views: all files, games only, ebooks only

in the games only view (it will say on the top of the top screen "# games", i.e. 15 games) it will only show .nds files and folders that don't have "hidden" attributes (this includes system folders such as "_system_" and "moonshll")
    DOH! mr. hanky beat me!

Thanks both mr_hanky and Sickley, your answers were exactly what I was looking for. Now my root directory looks much more neat.

also note that in DSOrganize "hidden" files and folders are by default hidden. you can change this in the configuration menu, second screen, third field.

Yeah I just discovered that and the ability to hide/unhide files and folders from right within DSOrganize, once that option you're refering to is turned off (or on, I can't remember which).

    good to hear! :)

I just bought the nds browser from nintendo (dev. by opera). and yes although there are free h.b. browsers none of them have quite the features of the opera one. not to mention the opera browser comes with a memory expansion cart. it will be interesting to see how/if licensed and h.b. devs will be using this in various apps and games.

I've been using the Opera browser with my M3DSS + EZFlash3-1 combo for a few days now, not something I will use often, but something that I will leave on my DS as the need to use it could arise one day.

Yes you can play GBA homebrew on the DS. You can't do it with the device this thread is for but it is possible with other devices.
